Vic's voice does not match Tamaki in any way, shape or form, and Haruhi needs to sound androgynous in order to make it believable that she can pass for a boy... Mona Marshall should have been Haruhi's voice actress because she can do that androgynous voice.

135. the American version of The Grudge was super epically BORING. i almost fell asleep twice while watching it. that and Sarah Michelle Gellar can't worth a hill of beans.

I'm really looking forward to the dub. ♥ I think the Haruhi sounds a little too conventionally girly, considering how subtle and adrognyous the seiyuu was (I loved her), but everyone else I'm completely happy with. I'm so excited for itttt ♥

I don't agree about Tamaki, but I completely agree with you on Haruhi. When I heard her Japanese voice, I though Mona Marshall would give her the perfect voice. Now, if I ever watch the dub (I like dubs, don't get me wrong), it will confuse me as how anyone can't tell she's not a girl with a girly voice.

126. Would it be weird to say that's what I love about him? It's so endearing when an actor (or writer or whatever) loves what they do because it actually means something to them. While I love Eccleston's Doctor so much, it's a bit disheartening to hear that in general, he doesn't really care about Doctor Who (granted, that aloofness was very good for the sort of role he did). At any rate, the old school references come from other fanboys and fangirls writing it. I just find it heartwarming.

I also can't help but hear Six--"I am the Doctor--whether you like it...or not."

I loved Moulin Rouge and Finding Neverland, and I loved them for reasons other than my ovaries, thank you very much (especially the latter). 110. People will probably have a less favorable first impression of you, but usernames don't matter once you get to know a person. I've seen a lot of people around LJ who had fangirl japanese usernames, and were very intelligent.

166. This x1000. I think they're idiots for hating a dub they haven't even heard yet. I'm so sick of dub bashing in general. Almost every dub these days is at least mediocre, and most of them are good. EVERY GOD DAMN TIME a series gets licensed there are always cries of "They'll change their personalities/Change someone's gender/Edit and cut stuff!" The only way this will happen is if a) it was licensed by 4Kids or b) it's going to be aired on TV in a non-AS-type programming block (in which case there will be some edits). AND EVEN THEN THE DVDS WILL BE UNCUT. Can we all stop living in the 90's? PLEASE?

126: Even though admittedly the Ninth Doctor is my favourite, I think David Tennant does a great job with the Tenth Doctor. He gets some really dramatic moments which he handles well (oh, and he's FANTASTIC in Human Nature/Family of Blood). I think the reason he sometimes comes off a bit fanboy-ish is (well, he is one) that he's quite a bit younger than most of the previous Doctors and he acts it.

128: I agree... sort of. But I think that the Ninth Doctor was the one she fell in love with and who fell in love with her based on things that happened to him. It's just like any relationship - you might fall in love with a person when they're 30 but if you went back ten years, you might not love them at all when they're twenty. So you don't have to 'ship every single incarnation (especially since he had different personalities) although it's likely that all of them would work considering he's the same man.

129: DAMN FUCKING STRAIGHT. If you don't stick purely within the comms that have the same opinion as you you're bound to run into a lot of hate and it's unpleasant. Personally I HATE fights and confrontations so it definitely bothers me. I feel like if you're a Rose fan or a 'shipper then you're not really welcome anywhere else which is stupid because it DOESN'T make a person just a fanbrat as we're often labelled. And if you like River Song, I'm sure very few people would want anything to do with you. Same thing with people who liked Journey's End and people who didn't - they won't get along and it will be bitter. HEY, GUYS, WE ALL LOVE THE SAME SHOW.

132: Personally both endings made me very sad but I think Donna's is far, far more tragic. (Also, I think that Blue!Doctor is SO, SO, SO, SO not a cop out. I don't want to get into a rant, but, seriously, what other solution was there? It was the only way to give Rose a happy ending.)

109: I ALMOST want to agree with this, since I'm in the same situation about the Kingdom Hearts fandom, but... with all the good reviews (even in the comments lol), I think the game is probably worth a try, even if you're not part of the fandom.

I'm going to at least rent it out. Maybe you should too? Don't let a bunch of people on the internet ruin something that you could potentially get to like (lol lessons learned from other huge crazy fandoms, see icon).
