I have nothing against people who like the manga, but I feel the same about the anime over the manga, and don't understand why people don't like anime-Winry! I love her! I also think the manga art looks dumb, and unfortunately, bad art doesn't do much for getting me emotionally involved.

I may be considered one of the Antis towards Twilight, but seriously people... I'm not saying don't read the books--why aren't you doing that? You're just giving more ammo for the rabid fangirls (not saying all the fans are). I say read the books and form your own opinions--stop agreeing with everything you hear on the Internet.
And yes... I have read all three of those books. It's Breaking Dawn that I'm not gonna read. Do I REALLY need to waste more of my time? No, no I don't.

123 – it depends a GREAT deal on the fandom. You can have some VERY good fandoms and some very bad ones. It's why I tend to stick with the smaller ones.

131 – and that's FAR too bad because I just found this game while scouring the Goodwill bin. I love old games, and I thought it was beautiful.

141 – Ditto. How bad is it when you take a Myers-Brigg test or play Apples to Apples in character?

162 – My sister and brother in law had a (mostly) traditional wedding because his family (aside from brto in law's elder brother) aren't hard-core geeks. Didn't stop them from meeting at an SF con, him proposing during the same con a year later, and finishing off their honeymoon at the same con the following year...nor did it stop them from meeting their best man in line for Episode 1, or having the bridal party “serenade” them with the Imperial March on kazoo during the reception.
