120) I think the FMA manga is ten times better than the FMA anime. And I think the female characters in the manga are all awesome, and yes this includes Winry. But I honestly don't care if you think differently. Like what you like but stop whining about it.

That's the original hook -- crazy family, sane main character -- but the longer you watch, the more you see that Michael's just as dysfunctional as the rest of them. I really felt the same way -- I've been reading through the manga because I heard that Kimbley gets a bigger role in it (if this is wrong, someone PLEASE correct me so that I don't have to trundle on through it!) and... Hawkeye looks like she's been watered down to being nearly unrecognizable. She saved Roy's ass in so many situations in the anime but she gets slighted in the manga.

I spend my days in college classes, working (both as a job and around my house), stressing over scholarships and relationships, and when it's all said and done for the day, I like to kick back and "squee" over X hot man of the day. Yeah, it's childish and immature and silly and rather pointless not very thought provoking at all, but it's how I like to spend the free time I do have. 123. I applaud this secret and I agree wholeheartedly... which may be the why when it comes to fandom I've almost become an elitist. The less people into something I like the less I'm able to notice how revolting it is to be part of the general consensus. I hate to admit it but sometimes it just grates and I can't take it. Mostly when I like something, whether from an intellectual and original standpoint or a dumb typified piece of media I love exploring the ins and outs of character analysis, plot, underlying tones, etc. But in many ways it's hard to find people that are willing to do the same.
