In other news, I agree. I still want to play some Final Fantasy games, but SMT (Persona 3 especially) made me cry. I haven't done that at a game in six years, since I played Grandia II. That's a pretty awesome feat for Persona 3.

I know this is surprising and strange, but some women want to be housewives. Shock, gasp. And there's nothing wrong with being a housewife, either. You're not wasting your life if you're happy with it.

I was never a huge Digimon fan so maybe I missed some things, but from what I know only a tiny bit about the futures of the group was revealed. Who's to say Yolei gave up everything to be a mother? Did it explicitly say she had no hobbies after she decided to marry Ken or something?

The secret didn't say there was anything wrong with being a housewife, oversensitive anon. The problem with the ending was that all of the females were sidelined into stereotypically feminine pursuits, and Miyako/Yolei, one of the most exuberent and career inclined (if a little boycrazy) is ONLY shown as a housewife. If she had continued her computer skills/music splicing stuff on the side, there could have been a clip of that. I'm sure she had some hobbies or something, but it does look like she gave up everything because while the other girls are also mothers, the ending shows what else they're doing.

There's nothing wrong with being a housewife if you're happy with it. If you're not, and became a housewife because you felt that you had to do it, then it's a problem, and it's a particularly bad problem if you're watching a children's show that takes all the strong girls and tells them that they have to be that one thing or not be a 'real' woman or mother.

No I do not think the show creator's bias toward men is apparent. No I do not see their political bent in last week's episode. Geez, stop over analyzing! To assume that TV, movies, and any other form of expression (comics, novels, what have you) don't reflect social attitudes in some way in incredibly naive. I don't think a dissertation needs to be written on anything that graces the airwaves, but to think that even escapism doesn't have an agenda or a message is very unrealistic. Maybe you don't want to discuss it, but that doesn't mean others don't, either.

126. First, slashing doesn't ruin friendships and two, it will happen eventually, trust me. Also, I admit doujinshi and fanfics are usually better than most original BL manga because, not a lot of people don't know this, most BL companies have a rule of how a BL manga has to be written and that most of them are a majority are a volume long, which makes developing character throughly nigh impossible. With a doujinshi and fanfics, you literally have no restrictions.

Sometimes though, subtext is much more enjoyable than the actual canon because you can play out the way you want in your head.

Don't worry, I didn't have my first kiss before 23 because I wanted to give it to a guy that I really liked (although I did 'play' around with a guy, without kissing a few years before that) and that I enjoy being alone in my teens because I didn't have that relationship bullshit to deal with (although a bad breakup made me lose interest in dating until college). It's alright to do it on your own pace, fuck the others honestly.

170. Didn't see any Suzaku hate during R1? DIDN'T SEE ANY SUZAKU HATE DURING R1? Where in the hell were you? Suzaku is well hated all around except for his fans. Hell even the Japanese fans call him 'Uzaku' (which means annoying). I thought people became more lenient towards him because of Darth Suzaku until that point. I guess him making a big show how Lulu was wrong and then actually agree with him in the end flipped people shit. Also, I wish Suzaku was more like ROCK'NDOLLESS version with that picture you're using. Batshit!Manipulative!Suzaku would've rocked, don't deny it.

Also Rolo was forgiven because he's just as an unfortunate character as Shirley, if not more so (and there is hate for him after that episode, especially among Shirley fans.)

Not!Secret 1. I like that she didn't end up with Kelso, but I admit her dating Hyde was sucky move, but at least they didn't end up together.
