It's 100% okay to profit off fanworks. If copyright worked as intended, they'd be public domain anyway.

However, I'm not a fan of people who use fandom as means to bolster their follower count. It's very common in animation-adjacent fandoms and feels corporate. I have a similar issue with most for-profit fandom zines.

All the Star Wars movies are great. All of them. And TLJ is in my top five favorites (probably slot 4 after ROTJ, ESB, and Rogue One).

It's really not that problematic if a story ends with a female character having a kid. I also raise my eyebrows when every female character has one, but aren't children a pretty normal part of life?

And FTR, I'm childfree.

Supporting cool indie stuff made by under represented groups is much more meaningful than big box office movies or whatever that use diversity/representation as a means for advertising.

Halloween in its modern form is a ridiculous holiday that's so far removed from its roots and so thoroughly commercial that that alone should be enough to hate it. What I take issue with, though, is the cutesy way it goes about things that are meant to be bad and scary. I can't wait for my dash to pack up the vampire fanart and Jack Skellington gifs.
