Basically, while doing publicity for his planned restaurant chain "Lucky Cricket", a Chinese restaurant and tiki bar set to open in Minneapolis, Zimmern said some uncomplimentary things about Chinese American cooking.

“I think I’m saving the souls of all the people from having to dine at these horse---- restaurants masquerading as Chinese food that are in the Midwest,” Zimmern said.
