130. Wait, Mohinder/Maya is more healthy than MattMo? I mean, I agree, that the pairing isn't generally as fluffy as it's made out to be (most fluffy pairings aren't because people don't really write "realistic" domestic fic), but Maya and Mohinder both have huge issues, not the least of which being Maya's still traumatized over killing hundreds of people in her village. Also, I've never really seen Matt/Mohinder fans ranting about Maya. Point me towards it?

106. Seconding all the people who've said they're intrigued as to your reasons and it does sound a bit... well sad really, the fact that whatever puts you off about female heroines is exclusive to females suggests that the female heroines are just not good enough, to me.

But, whatever. More usefully for you, you should play the game (if you actually do want to). Ashe isn't the heroine. You don't control her unless you put her in charge of your party on purpose. She's an important plot point, someone to protect, rescue, use their political and mystical power for battle and plot reasons, etc. Just like Aeris, Garnet, Yuna, um, Yuna, Rinoa, etc. She's the If you could deal with them, you'll be fine with Ashe. The main player POV character is your standard street rat boy hero, Ashe is very important to the plot but you won't be pretending to be her. Which, now you've made me think about it, is suddenly annoying me... I really hope there's no such cop-out with FFXIII :)
