123. Ooh, I love that movie! Which may or may not have something to do with the effect Billy Joel's voice is known to have on me.

158. Kyouya's my favourite character in that series by far. <3 I also think he's pretty well-loved and has a fuck-ton of fangirls, but I do think a large percentage of people miss the mark on his characterization. It's always one extreme or another: he has to be a super nice guy or an absolute dickhead. Even good fics tend to be a little off with Kyouya. That said, he is hard to write properly, the complex bastard. =/

[identity profile] frakalakalaka.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Omg that icon of Kyouya and haruhi is ADORABLE XD♥ is that canon? I haven't seen that image before.

115. YES. YEEEEEES.

Mine too. :D
Shalka is FTW.

158, 178, 188

158. ...I....am starting to not like him in the manga. Hell, everyone's pissing me off right now. Except Tamaki. He's too clueless to anger me for long.

178. Whether I laugh or not depends on if the secret-maker is a girl or a guy.

188. THANK YOU. Also, people would be PISSED if they were in a hetero affair. EDIT: This is not to say that I'm against the movie...like...being there. It's good that such a movie can be in the mainstream. But if I would dislike it anywhere else, I can't really like it now.

[identity profile] evil-laugher.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
They wouldn't have needed to have had an affair to begin with if they were heterosexual. They would've gotten married, and would've carried on as normal. Not much to really be pissed about.

104. Everyone's vag is different. Some people need it and some people don't.

126. Go for it! Chemistry rocks.

141. I definitely agree that KH is about friendship. But a little buttsex every now and then doesn't hurt (pun not intended). XD

158. I love Kyouya, too!

166. Are you me?? It sounds so shallow, but if there aren't any attractive characters, I just can't get into a series. And all my crushes have been on fictional characters, too. Animated ones at that.

188

[identity profile] mechanicaljewel.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, yeah. It was a gay story. That's like saying "OMG Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" would have been a boring movie if Sidney Poitier was white!" When that's kind of the point of the movie.

But anyway, I can see where you're coming from. My gay friends have basically all agreed "OK, we're happy this film exists, and that it proved gay stories had crossover appeal, but can we please move on?"

104. Not abnormal, but some women don't need it, and there are very few men who don't need it. (I really don't believe there are any, because the back door is not made like the front door, but I'm not having another argument with Minotaur about that.)

125. The thing that disturbs me is that so many people who love wank act like it IS that serious.

155. I know, right? (I love that show.)

169. ...people hate Diana? I love her.

180. He is SO the best Mercutio ever.

190. I'm with you; it's fuckin' weird.

[identity profile] salem-saori.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
104 Fuck yeah. I apply lubricant too, occasionally, nothing to worry about. It's not essentially a male/male thing at all.

[identity profile] honestys-easy.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
125. Actually, that would have been fantastic and there would still be epic masques depicting the harrowing adventures and battles. It'd be like the fandom version of Circus Maximus.

131. Naruto, to me, is like McDonalds. It's got some merits to it but it's highly commercialized and made for mass consumption so the quality is shit. But for some reason everyone in the world loves it and can't get enough.

135. That last sentence of your secret - "Then ______ married some totally random person and I was sad" - pretty much sums up the whole HP series for me. :-\

143. Aww ♥

165. I have no substantial comment other than this secret is mesmerizing. O-o

180. Christ on a bike, if you don't ship Mercutio/Romeo, there's something wrong with you. And Harold and Leo made it even more apparent in that movie.

188. You know, not liking Brokeback Mountain is not a lynching crime. (Some of the reasons you didn't like it completely miss the point, but I digress.) I feel like many slash fans or even just open-minded people feel compelled to like it simply because of its significance, but from a storyteller's standpoint it's not particularly spectacular.

[identity profile] funkillsexdeath.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
113+118: a crossover between these two secrets would be amazing, in a gory sort of way.

120: I'm all for crossover crack pairings, but I can't help thinking that Elphaba deserves better. I think when it comes to comic-book card carrying villains, she might be more compatible with Magneto (depending on what writer's characterization you're working from.)

121: Little spherical cartoon people need love too, I guess.

130: I think Mos Def's Ford would be great fun to travel the universe with.

150: Faun's aren't anthros, so I'd think of someone into them as something like mythosexual, myself. And Tumnus is rather adorable.

151: A series of pre-historic set novels that aren't "Earth's Children"? I'll have to check these out at some point.

180: His scene at the ball in drag won my heart forever.

150

[identity profile] ex-hayato987.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, not too long ago me and my friends were talking about him on the way home from school. The general consensus was that he is very, very arrtactive, regardless of the goat peen.
He was just.... done up very well in that movie? He looked nice and kind of pale as opposed to GRUNGY ORANGE MAN, plus he was a sweet and kind character.
IT IS OKAY OP at least about 4 people in the world strongly agree with you. Not one person in the group went 'ew, guys, he's a goat!' Wouldn't be a problem unless he, in reality, had goat parts.

[identity profile] xanykaos.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
112. DUDE, ME TOO! Seriously, it's weird, because I'd just figured out the wording for my own secret about this today. But yeah, basically, I want to be the wacky comic relief. You'd be amazed the ammount of abuse I'm willing to put up with for it.

125. Sometimes it does feel that epic. Lol. I'd probably be a fence-sitter in the war, possibly supplying arms to both sides for the lols. Maybe a bit Han Solo-esque

128. Because 15 year olds are so stupid, because 30 year olds are so stupid, because 7 year olds are so stupid, and because 50 year olds are so stupid.

130. Does it? Unfortunate. I thought the movie was great fun.

131. Dude, you want to really feel better? Go look up Rob Liefeld and remember that he was THE most popular comicbook artist of the 90's. Ow. Ow. Ow.

135. AGREED! And not just because I shipped them so hard, but because with all that lovely, sweet interaction that MOST authors would be happy to leave as that for a think-what-you-will, Rowling had to go and slam down EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON'S. SHIP. With her stupid post-book interviews.

139. BAW.

140. ZOMIGOSHICAN'TBELIEVEITSTARLIGHTEXPRESS!!!!!!! *FANSCREAM!*

Oh man, that is so so so so COOL! I saw it when I was 4 the first time, and again when I was 14 in London. I wound up with a crush on Rocky 3 because he high-fived me as he was skating past on the track. But that sounds even cooler!
Never thought of crushing on Greaseball, though. Interesting. And very pretty picture. Man, I didn't know this show had any fandom, but screw it, it's still one of my favourites ever (yes, this makes me a bad musical-lover).
You rock.

150. I hope not, because I feel the same way. I still find him most attractive there. Maybe it's the sweet-nervous kind of character he's playing. Or the nose. Could be the nose.

154. Well, at least you have the sense to keep it a secret, because I'm sure you know how, well, disgusting that kind of is. Shallow to say the least. Wow.

For the record, yeah, they're both funny-looking. I never thought I'd find a guy like Chris Eccleston attractive. You have to see him in action--it's his charisma, not his looks. But still, man, shallow.

157. *Handoverears*Hewasonlyanactorhe'snotreallyBobaHewasonlyanactorhe'snotreallyBobaHewasonlyanactor...
Classic!Boba...how can a mask be that sexy? And how did Lucas manage to screw up that character? Oh, yeah, the same way he screwed up romance--by forgetting that MODERATION is a good thing.

162. Well, I agreed with you until you said "retarded." Way to be a judgemental dickhole. THERE ARE OTHER REASONS FOR FANFIC, POMPOUS PERSON!
That said, it's why I liked fic for Harry Potter or X-men, but never could read it for LotR. If the fandom basis is good but not great, with potential, but not there, the fandom itself is gonna be so much more fun.

171. What is this? There was a movie idea?! Oh man!
I love that show, I love that show so so much. I think it was one of the best written kid shows of the time, and that puts it up against some pretty stiff competition. Also, that pic is gorgeous.

172. Blast. I'd managed not to spoil myself at all for the finale. Dangit, why aren't the eps on YouTube...

180. Hm. Can see it, I guess. More thing Mercutio is, well, mercurial and wacky. And he really was a good one.

182. I'm disturbed by the level to which I agree with this secret. Especially the bit about how he'd be. At first glance, you think he'd be awful, but he's such a romantic at heart, poor guy. Man, I love Munch. When's the new seasons start already?

192. I kind of agree, though shallowly enough, I felt that way more when I thought Rem was a guy. I don't know why.

Me too. I actually think he looks better in that role than in anything else he's done. :P

In my defense though, his build, hair style and personality in that movie just do it for me. It has absolutely nothing to do with the animal features. -.-

108. That’s just great. Hope I never get on your bad side.

113. I bought American Psycho book today. ^_^

116. OMG, I’m sure the fan girls would still be falling over themselves for the Joker even if Heath Ledger were still alive. It might be worse because they would have a miniscule chance of meeting him in real life.

123. What?! This movie is great. I love the music, especially Perfect Isn’t Easy.

126. Sorry but that’s a really bad reason, unless you actually like chemistry.

Unfortunately, I don't really want to pay. D:

137. Same here. :/

140. I really hate when people misuse the word "literally." Literally, you melted? Really?

162. In a way, yeah. In a way, nah uh. What about loose ends? Side-stories that are never fully told, relationships that are never explored, etc. etc. etc.

180. God, I LOVED him! Once I started a fanfic about Mercutio x Benvolio, lol. Though I don't like Benvolio much in that movie.

116. Oh, I still would, don't worry.
128. It took fandom to do that for you? All I had to do was go to college.
171. I FUCKING LOVE "Hey Arnold!" But I've followed enough Nick fandoms to know all the letter-writing in the world won't do shit in getting that movie made. :(
188. It would be a totally different movie if they were a straight couple. It's kind of stupid to say it wouldn't be so popular if they weren't gay.

109. Repeat.

112. Comical sidekicks are the ones who really make the movies.

116. Whomever could you be talking about?

120. Elphaba/Joker?

... wat

123. Are you kidding? BILLY JOEL and BETTE MIDLER. They've got a lot of fans. And I remember thinking Georgette was the best.

Damn. You're limiting yourself.
