179. I don't know, losing your virginity isn't that big of a deal, really. I lost mine when I was really young and I kind of regret it. 24 is very young, anyway, and trust me, there is someone for everyone...you just have to seek them out.

The thing is, obviously, if you wanted to lose your virginity, you could, but you don't wanna lose it to just ANYONE. You want to lose it to someone you love, which is why I think you would actually LIKE the movie!

Below are spoilers. IGNORE THEM IF YOU WANT.

The movie kind of shows that Andy (the main character) didn't necessarily not have sex because he was undesirable or anything (yes, a bit nerdy and doesn't have a great job, but that is beside the point) he just never really made it a priority (seeming to favor his hobbies to girls) and every time that it started happening, it just didn't "work" with all the girls he got with. The only time it did work, was when he fell in love, which happened to be when he was 40.

In response to the people saying it's mocking virginity, I don't know, it's kind of a fine line. As you may or may not know (lol), in real life, people do mock you for being a virgin after a certain age, even though that is really stupid and petty in my opinion. Andy's coworkers and friends mock him when they find out he is a virgin, and try to find him a woman to lose his virginity to, but he falls in love with someone and ends up waiting until they are BOTH ready to have sex with each other, which is after they are married.

But I wouldn't say it's mocking the fact that he is a virgin as much as showing that it doesn't really matter when you lose your virginity...and that it will just happen when it happens, with who it's supposed to happen with. Not so much about the age. The reason it seems kind of mocking to some people, I guess, is because of the kind of movie that it is, and the people involved in it. You have to see it before you make a judgment like that, really.

I haven't seen it in a few months so I might have messed up some stuff but I think I got the basic idea, lol. It's a really funny movie though! Just putting that out there.

First of all I can't believe I'm seeing a Ningen Shikkaku secret here. Now that I'm over my initial shock, I can understand where you're coming from, however, the kiss scene is everywhere, there are caps and fanvideos and such. I bet no one will put through the whole drama just to see that. I love dark dramas and by the time I finish to see it I won't want to watch it again in a couple of years.
I wanted to see the drama because I like Kinki (I'm not going to lie, that's how things work) but I was interested even before, when I knew about the actual plot, just right after I was mentioned about the kiss. I began watching when LoveSong decided to sub it, there's no point in seeing this drama if I can't understand enough japanese.
I think it should be a controversial drama. Back in mid-nineties people kind of didn't care about bullying, and they're trying to make it look like it's something new, bullshit.
It should be an important drama, but instead is "that one where under-age Kinki kiss". Not that I'm going to change people's views, but hey, watching it, even if it's so dark it's good for me. Was bullied in high-school too many years ago yada yada....

Hmm, I could have phrased that secret better. It's more like I can't be bothered to go to all the trouble and take time away from fandom in order to actually land myself with one the way my friends want me to. If I do end up falling in love with someone I'd be happy to spend all that time with him, but right now I'm not in the mood to actively look the way my friends seem to think 'looking' is concerned.

I like the Real World in small doses, but I'm not going to go out of my comfort zone to get a boyfriend that wouldn't understand the shit I'm into. If I see someone I like, I'll know and THEN I'll start thinking about pursuing a relationship.

I used to sort of feel this way too (only not with anime). I mean, I thought, "A boyfriend will take up too much of my time and I like the way I spend my time right now." But then I got a boyfriend and he's the BEST. He's not even remotely a fanboy but he doesn't care a bit about me reading fanfic or doing anything. And the thing is... when you've got someone you really, really like (or love) then you want to spend time with them rather than do anything else. They'll say, "Do you want to hang out at my house and just lie on the bed talking?" and you'll be all, "I'LL BE THERE AS SOON AS I CAN!" It doesn't feel at all like you're taking time away from the other things you enjoy because this becomes your favourite thing to do.

Obviously it's fine not to want a boyfriend - being single is pretty fun as far as I'm concerned - but perhaps your reasoning could be a bit better. And chances are, you'll be able to find a boyfriend into all the same stuff as you and it'll be even more enjoyable. Anyway, boyfriends are pretty great.

First off, NINGEN SHIKKAKU SECRET WTF.

Second, my watching and rewatching it a few times over the years had nothing to do with the kiss (I actually DON'T ship it, so shoot me, fandom) and more to do with the fact that it was on of the more effective dramas I've seen. I usually never cry over anything fictional, but this one actually managed to get to me enough that I did. That made it worth rewatching for me.
