He's not around much in the anime either. XDDD I watched it on CN, he...yeah, I can't remember him doing much outside of dying. (I honestly didn't even remember who he WAS until fangirls started going crazy over him.)

I do admit, though, I like writing backstories for and fleshing out minor characters, so I can see the appeal of Matt, in a way...at least his character design is cool.

But in a lot of fandoms I've been in, you're treated a lot worse for being a het shipper meeting the same criteria than being a slash shipper. :( I ship a lot of het for the pretty and get slammed for it, while with slash it's all 'oh okay then.'

You’re going to think I’m a nutter, but regardless of their intentions that’s just how it turned out. It doesn’t matter if they meant to imply or, like in this case, didn’t – it’s like the characters take on a life of their own, you know? Joe and David have such unbelievable chemistry and play the characters in such a way that yea, for me? Totally canon.

I’m probably delusional, but after The Shrine the two of them will always be in love to me. :D
