I am fine with larger people cosplaying.

If they follow my favorite of Stacy and Clinton's ('What Not To Wear') rules: Your clothes have to FIT. People should choose a character whose outift will fit their body shape or design the outfit in such a way that it flatters their body.

Because it is possible. Wearing clothes that don't fit just make them look much worse than they actually are.

I agree with this. She could even cosplay that same character/outfit, but pick a skirt and shirt that are bigger and don't make her tummy stick out like that. I've many over weight cosplay friends who look amazing in their costumes because they know how to make the clothing fit them. If you're a size 22 don't squeeze yourself into a size 16 just because it's the biggest you could find. Make or commission someone to make you a size 22 version.

153. They can pull off cosplay really well, actually, if they just choose the right characters and make the costumes in a way that is flattering.

It's the same with any cosplayer -- you will only win at a cosplay if you choose the right kinds of characters. You could be gorgeous normally, but if you keep choosing people that look nothing like you, you're going to fail.

The problem is that most of them just don't realize this.

107. I, uh...judging from that last bit, I would guess that you are projecting. Not that there aren't problems with Chobits, but "it is a sinister warning of how everyone [meaning, of course, all guys] will eventually date robots" is prrrrobably not one of them.

I wouldn't worry about the actual contents, either. "Graduating high school" and "passing your first year of college" are artificial landmarks imposed on people by society. They're actually pretty meaningless as far as happiness and life go. If you never find something in life other than fandom that makes you happy, then that's a problem (unless you expand fandom beyond the usual definition...), but your reactions to your progress in school isn't really the best measuring stick.

126. I have never seen Across the Universe. While I have legit loved the Beatles for the long time, I also adoooooooore Panic's new album, which I am assuming is the one you are talking about.

I love like all the songs. And when I made this journal, I was listening to "Behind the Sea" on repeat over 9000 times a day. While I'm probably not going to keep this journal (I since hit upon a screenname that I use a LOT and is what a fair number of people know me as) for that long, you've encouraged me that at least there are other people with a great love for this album :Db.

107. I think it was still cute, and purposefully so, even if that kind of negative theme was there. I mean, didn't it basically say 'lol btw her emotions are just simulations no matter how real they seem, she's just really advanced technology'? Ahhh, I'm torn on the series as a whole.

I think I just like seeing any kind of relationship take any turn possible - so a platonic relationship becoming romantic or vise versa is fun for me to mess with. I understand that they were bff and brothers, and that that's amazing without buttsex. But buttsex is also interesting, and I think imagining new romances between any given characters is fun. :(
