Ultimately, that decision, and the general sidelining of Finn, is one of the worst elements of the sequel trilogy

I give some credit to TLJ in this regard because Finn was still at least thematically central to the movie, and I believe that the sense that he was sidelined is more a result of the broader problems the film had hanging its plot and pacing together, not an intentional call to sideline him because they didn't know what to do with him

But it didn't end up working out and then TROS stone-cold buried him

No. It did a lot to bring Vergil much-needed character development and show his vulnerable side, and I feel people who have this opinion just want to have their cake and eat it too.

I think it’s annoying how people are acting like Rowling was attacking trans women when she tweeted her support for Maya Forstater. The actual case is messy, but Maya’s conflict was with a non-binary person named Gregor Murray, who has a history of harassing women. I think if more people knew what Rowling was talking about, there would be less backlash.
