Don't ever regret it.

It's because of my horrible/terrible/awful fanfiction that I wrote as a 12-14 year old that is the reason I am where I am now (working my way to becoming a graphic novelist).

It was fun. I learned how to write (mostly how not to write) a good story that people enjoy and have moved on from fanfics tomy own original work.

=3 I'd be nowhere without my shitty childhood fics. <3

143 How do you know if they have or not? Some of the icons that I have made from fanart are from artist friends, so while I credit them, you can't find any place where I actually say I have their permission. Some of the art, in fact, was created as a gift for me.

155 Sing it, sister! Look, everyone has their squicks and that's fine. But the blanket unthinking "rps is bad" is what leads to all those "I thought rps was bad until I started shipping this pairing" secrets. I'd say think for yourselves, but that sort of goes against so much of what fandom is, sadly. Also, I once uncritically accepted the prevailing wisdom that RPS AU's were the lowest of the low on the fanfic totem pole; now I write them.

155) RPS AU's genuinely confuse me. What is the difference between them and just plain old original fic? I mean, if you just change the name of the characters, that's what it is, so why not just change the names of the characters, and avoid the whole RPF label entirely.

Ok, I HAVE to ask, It it the 'self taken' aspect of the photos that bothers you, or the nude that bothers you. Because One of my RL friends is a model, and she's posted nudes of herself online, so Im wondering if you (and this secret, aswell, but you can really only speak for yourself, I know) is against her aswell.

I mean, it seems kinda ignorant and elitist right from the get go, but aslong as no-one i know is being dissed, I can live with it.
