144. It was one bad episode out of an entire series of pretty damn good shit and the episode wasn't even that bad compared to other stuff on television; it was just bad compared to what Supernatural used to produce. Calm down, guys, sometimes a series takes a misstep. This was a misstep; they still have a chance to bring it back on track.

Until the show spirals down the way Heroes did, I wouldn't give up on it. I think it's pretty silly to write off the series based on a single episode.

(And I know OP isn't writing off the show per se, but I'm talking about the people in fandom raising absolute hell over the last couple of episodes like Kripke killed off Castiel and replaced him with Bela.)

How does she she like a Mary-Sue? She's just comparing a certain level of her situation to Elphaba's. And Wicked is a book/musical that people of all ages enjoy, not just 14-year-olds.

(Unrelated: Why are multi-talented girls who have a lot of good things going for them always referred to as "Mary-Sues"? Do some people think that's impossible for a girl? I'm seen plenty of male characters that qualify to be "Mary-Sues", but people just call them "cool".)

Most of my issues with Death Note come down to two things. The completely unlikeable cast and the awful treatment and portrayal of women in that series. I am sorry, I just cannot for the life of me believe or find a series clever if it has someone as kickass as Naomi Misora being engaged to a misogynistic asshole. And that is not even going to the rest of it.

Also, it really is not as clever and smart as it tries to come off as half the time. Light and L's logic and brains make no earthly sense unless they are somehow not human and have supernatural powers of foresight and clairvoyance.

Death Note however is a good series to laugh at and mock.

104. I'm a little nervous about Quinto portraying Spock, because intriguing a villain as Sylar is, I've never felt that Quinto was a great actor for the part. But I don't know if that's due to his acting, or the script-writing, or even the general way over-dramatic mood of Heroes. I certainly haven't cast my lot against him, at any rate. But he does make a hot young Spock. xP
