How do you deal with the guilt of not participating in "activism". I went to a BLM march a couple of weeks ago in a nearby town. There is a smaller gathering today in my small town. They are going to meet up, clean up the local park, and then march to town hall (and donate goods). I donated a case of water but I really don't feel like going.

I doubt anyone will be wearing masks (despite cases increasing in my area). I am not a huge fan of one of the organizers because he seems to believe that masks are stupid to wear because Covid is some manner of conspiracy.

But I feel bad avoiding it because I doubt they are going to get a huge gathering. Maybe 20 people?

How do you know if a bug bite is something to worry about?
Earlier this week we began noticing spiders inside our house. I don't see any other bugs around and I have seen spiders in my bedroom before. I felt a pain on the back of my left arm near my shoulder like 3-4 days ago. It's warm and my skin feels hard in the bite area. It doesn't feel itchy but feels sore if I touch it. There hasn't been any pus but the pain has remained the same and I don't think it's gotten bigger but I know it hasn't gotten smaller. I don't want to make a doctor's visit just to be told it's nothing but I also don't want to sit around and wait for it to potentially get worse. My best guess is a spider bit me but I can't be certain.

AO3 etiquette question. I'm writing a fic I'm posting as a series. I want to go back and revise parts of it. But will that piss off the people who have bookmarked or commented on parts of it?

Has anyone learnt Mandarin? I've just started and found a guide recommending that I read pinyin alongside audio texts so I get a feel for the flow of the language.

Does anyone know any resources that have spoken word alongside pinyin text?

Would you read this?: A fic where the author is the villain but never actually appears in the fic. The characters are just fleeing from the usual tropes the author is trying to foist on them.

I've been really wanting to learn to sew properly and I'm considering finally buckling down and getting a sewing machine. Does anyone have any sites or youtube videos that are good for helping beginners? I've tried doing a general search but there's a lot and it's hard to tell what's genuinely helpful.

To begin with I recommend his original Smeargle play through of Pokemon Crystal if you like Pokemon, the play through if Hamtaro: Ham Hams Unite! if you're into cute stuff or Pocket Mirror if you're into horror games.

He plays a ton of games of different genres. I found a lot of games to play myself thanks to him. He can get pretty salty at times, but he's self aware enough when it happens (and when it's his own fault) that it's pretty hilarious.

And the best thing, he doesn't plaster his face on the videos! That turns me off from so many YouTubers.

The premise sounded silly but I finally started watching this because it's so well known. It takes a while to get over the Lisa Frank-like CGI setting but I'm half a dozen episodes in and it's growing on me, so I expect I'll be submitting future secrets about it in the coming weeks/months. What are you guys watching?
