I'm actually not from the UK... I'm from North America and found Aurian at the library. Trying to order her books in stores over here or even getting them from Amazon is a PAIN!

But seriously. Where is the fandom? You'd think with so many likable characters and love triangles that shippers would just latch right on. Not that I'm big on the idea of Vannor/Forral slash, but at least if there was a place for fans to talk, you know?

153. I love the Gekko, they are all highly screwed up people, save for maybe Hilda, but I love them all so, even when they had a tendency to beat up on Renton (ok that was mostly Holland and his Eureka issues), but probably my favorite found family ever.

167. I don't like how the series is handling it, I wished they had built some level of independent thinking in Soma, and I wish they would let Marie actually be useful in CB, and I hate Allelujah's whole "I HAVE TO KEEP HER FROM FIGHTING!" thing. Very annoying, there is so much potential in the character and the storyline, but the writers just suck at it. That and Allelujah tends to be the most neglected and haphazardly handled character in the series.

112 - this is deliberately provocative, isn't it? It has to be, since some folks only have limited icon space and some fandoms don't actually have any ethnic minority characters. (For example, my main fandom is Band of Brothers, and all the main cast are white. That can't be helped. The US Army was segregated in WWII.)

144 - I don't see why you'd have to keep that a secret. Bad characterisation is a bloody good reason to be put off a fic.

152 - Oh my god, a JSA secret! I must admit I don't really go for Michael/Pieter as a pairing, but dammit, their friendship is seriously awesome and there should be more stories about them just doing their thing. (And/or more fic about the same.) They're like buddy cops (you know - one's a black atheist who knows absolutely everything, the other's a blind Catholic doctor with a pet owl, they fight crime!), and if I thought it'd have any chance of surviving, I'd be constantly demanding they get their own series. It's the one big downside of the JSA being as large as it is - how is anyone going to get the screen time (or whatever the comic book equivalent of that would be) they deserve?
