What WOULD "itadakimasu" be translated to? I'm no Japanese major, but I've done some research, and honestly can't find a suitable English equivalent.

Same with "nakama." It's stronger than "friend" or "comrade." There's just no decent translation, IMO.

itadakimasu -> thanks for the meal, let's eat
nakama -> one of us

Translation isn't always literal. You have to take the audience's culture into account as well. As long as it makes sense to the viewer and isn't completely random and unrelated to the original, it's good enough. There are no perfect answers in translation.

Sometimes people make secrets about the canons, so that's interesting to me. I also just enjoy reading secret comms, and I read ones about subjects I'm not even into. It's fun to see what some people consider a secret.

113. No. They're really just bad. I didn't even get to the bit where I could whine about him stealing stuff. For one, most writers do, they just know how to be subtle about it. For another, eh, I read through Wheel of Time and it didn't bother me.

I couldn't get past chapter two. The writing itself, the simple of prose, of one word after another forming sentences, was so abysmally terrible that I just couldn't keep reading. I think that's the only time that has ever happened. It's decently written for a sixteen year old...but...well, it's decently written for a sixteen year old.

140 is a repeat. I have seen it about 5 times.

Being in 'Secrets Not Posted' doesn't make it a repeat.

And it's been in 'Secrets Not Posted' TWICE not five times.

132. I actually find him inifinitely more compelling than either Foreman or Cameron, and I don't really find him particularly attractive. Not having a backbone and being a jerk, eh, that doesn't make for a bad character, just a bad person. I think he actually comes off as a way more accurate and relatable example of a lapsed Catholic than any other person on tv. He's not strong enough to be a good man, but he's aware of his faults and feels guilty about it.

He's also the only one of the ducklings who ever actually laughs at House's jokes, and a character being willing to laugh has a huge impact on how much I like him. House can be funny sometimes, dangit. At least Chase is loose enough to appreciate that. (And I think he's the only one of them who genuinely wanted House's approval, which isn't healthy, but heck, who wants healthy?)

132. Seriously, almost everyone on the show is hot...and they're all douchey in their own special way. Chase is certainly hot - moreso because of the accent. But more important than simple hotness to many fangirls is that layer of emotional vulnerability that Chase lets slip now and then. That is hotter than any chiseled muscle-bound dude will ever be. Chase was a douche, yeah, but he was also pragmatic, learned from his experiences and is pretty funny (whether you're laughing at him or with him). Moreover, most fans loathed Chase after the Vogler arc in S1 - his actions since then became very much a twisted, cranky little redemption story. However - he's sort of arrived at the end of that story so his continued presence is weird, much as I enjoy him. (Also, hard to believe anyone with that hair ever turned out hot. Jeebus.)

Yes, I'm bitter. I'm bitter that I started to read this series and stopped halfway through realizing that it was written by a hack. I'm bitter because I can get that time I spent reading the first book back.

I didn't know of other artists under the contemode label until I was a few months into Perfume, and only recently have I started venturing into capsule and the like. I adore Perfume, and it didn't really strike me to check out Yasutaka Nakata's other productions until I became aware of them.

They are lovely, yes, and I'm starting to become a fan of them just as I became a fan of Perfume, but that's only because I was eventually exposed to them. Give the fans a bit of time - it doesn't strike everyone to start delving for similar music once getting into a group.
