132. Actually it's kinda been that way for over a year now. :( I don't know why the fandom for such a popular show is so dead, but please don't be discouraged from participating! There are still people who are enthusiastic about it and I would personally love to see more fanworks/discussion/etc. (Gurren Lagann is actually my main fandom right now and luckily I still have people to fangirl over it with.)

(She just got into Five's era) She was SO shocked to find out he's basically universally hated to the point I couldn't quite express it to her XD She bawled at Earthshock and everything. 143 - I've heard plenty of people say "oh I love Adric but everyone else hates him"; I've never once come across anyone who actually hates him. Indifferent to him, yes, but not to the extent that Adric-lovers claim. Edit Having read some of the other comments here... ah, there are the haters! I evidently seem to attract Adric fans.

I like him, for the record. He's not one of my favourites, but he's a good companion.

121. I know what you mean -- the series can be incomprehensible at times, and it tries to do way too much in only 26 episodes and a movie, which isn't handled as skillfully as it could have been. And this is coming from someone who really likes Evangelion.

101 - I'm just hoping for more interest in Star Trek again. If the movie comes out, and as a result I can talk about Star Trek with a lot more people, then I won't be totally disappointed (unless the characterizations are really wrong and everyone gets the wrong impression of each character. That would suck)

111. Just keep in mind that not everyone in the South or in country music shares the same values. Each person is an individual with individual beliefs, tastes, etc. And you've really missed out on some wonderful stuff over the years! But don't feel bad. I think you're awesome for calling yourself out on the stereotypes, and everyone's got to live with those on occasion.

Maybe read some Mark Twain or Truman Capote to remind yourself that intelligent people do in fact sometimes come from the red states (though they weren't always red). And if you want some good country to listen to, pop me a message and I'd be happy to send you some music. I suggest Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Ray Charles (he made a country album), Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams, etc, ect...

Also keep in mind that a lot of great American music, not just country, came from places like Tenesseee, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, etc... Blues, bluegrass, jazz, and more. Black Americans live in the south too and created some amazing work under horrible circumstances. They're a part of the culture as well. It's not all whiteys singing about trucks, haha.
