I DO! Ok, not completely, but I love the Gallagher Girls (though Cross my Heart is on my bedside table, in my to-be-read pile), and I love Dr Who (though haven't seen the old season) so even though I don't ACTUALLY know what you're talking about, I can connect them in the tiniest of ways. (What a thing to feel proud of :/ )

We had their New Year's Eve thing on and I kept thinking the same thing. They were so cute together; if only Anderson were straight, lol. Nah, on second thought, a big part of what makes them cute is the flirty, but non-sexual dynamic they've got going. If that makes any sense.

117 - I can see where this is coming from, although I still consider him a pretty damn good mangaka.

118 - Exactly! All I can hear around are rumors of how TERRIBLE Matt Smith will be for the series, but everyone should take a step back and give the guy a chance. Also, I also wonder about the companion, perhaps they'll switch and it'll be a male, who knows...

129 - WTF Does Europe has to do with poor spelling? Honestly, I know a fair amount of Americans who have poorer writing skills than mine and I'm from a non-English speaking country in Europe.

131 - Despite the uncommon hairstyle, he'll probably be a great doctor, nothing short of the tenth. I'm waiting for the season to start and the fans realize he's not as bad as they made him.

I put that in to explain that for a lot of the Galactik Football fans, English is their second language, which is why they have difficulties with it. I'm not denying that many Americans have problems with English, but it's their first language, so they don't have an excuse for it, whereas I cut people slack if English is their second language.

I'm also in a non-English speaking country in Europe. Like I said, I'm only good by comparison, not on my own merits.

We have powdered milk where I live.

And guess what? It's so much better than milk jugs/cartons. XD

How do you prepare powdered anyway? :o Always confused me, you don't water do you? Or dur, is there any other way you make powder into liquid? XD

I remember this movie and how all the appliances seemed to martyr themselves in some way. I never really thought too much about it before but I'm thinking now that the main point of the movie was to make people feel guilty for throwing things out into a landfill and creating waste rather than reusing/fixing/recycling old things. And psychologically speaking, the best way to make people care about something is to humanize it or show it as having sentient qualities. Guess the film did its job a little too well?

178. This. They ARE inconsistant. The only ones I can call off the top of my head are the various name spellings in Rozen Maiden (really, you guys? KANARIA AND SUIGINTOU WERE CORRECT BEFORE. WHAT'S WITH THE C AND H?). Del Rey and Yen Press have been getting more of my business, but I still buy from Tokyopop to finish some series I have. Though, they're licensing Mirai Nikki and I love that series >_<

That thing about them having all the rights for new OEL manga really ticked me off when I heard about it.

So I was scrolling, saw the first couple words of this, skipped to the bottom, and came away with the idea that it was a secret about a band called Idiotic Sheep. Naturally I assumed they were British.

118. - I grew up singing alone with his songs while riding in my dad's truck. He was a parrot head and he passed it on to me. "Off to See the Lizard" and "Gypsies in the Palace" have great nostalgia value for me, but my favorites are "He Went to Paris" and "Chanson Pour Les Petits Enfants" are probably my real favorites, although I luv so much of his stuff that I could switch in an instant. Heh...
I started reading his autobiography and he's an AMAZING man. A writer, a pilot, a world traveler, a great singer, a businessman... He inspires me to go out and do the things I dream about because he managed to do exactly what he wanted. I get sad when people only know his drinking songs too - but luckily a lot of people here at my college know quite a bit more - it really surprized me when I learned that I wasn't the only big fan - so take your chance and admit you like him, you might be surprized too.

111. - I never thought it sucked. I mean, it's a site, the site itself can't automaticly suck. There are bound to be both good and bad stories there. In all honesty, I've read more good stories there than bad, though it may be simply because I'm smart enough to ignore stories about things that I think are stupid. It seems a bit stuck up of you to believe that you are such a better writer than EVERYONE there, and that your one fanfiction will redeem the place. I'm sure you're a great writer and all, and your campaign to get more writers to post thier stuff is nobel, but you're going about it the wrong way. Prove that FF.net doesn't suck by reading stories and sharing the good ones you find - show people the silver lining that's already there. It'll bring more attention to it's good parts than just pimping your own story.

113. - I live in the US of A, and in my elementary skool we all drank bagged milk. Poke a straw in the bag and suck it right out. They switched to cartons when I was in high skool. I think the bagged milk actually tasted better. It didn't have that papery carton taste to it.

108: The film is getting a strong following and with critics like Ebert packing it up it will deserve the (at the least) critical attention it deserves.

I think he was amazing before he was "discovered." When he had his own show, it was stupid. His website was the best, but all his genius went away when he signed whatever contract he signed. Cuppy forever!
