I'll be fangirling over their great acting, or over how intricate their character is, and everyone else will just blow me off with "you just think he's hot." It's worse when I do find them attractive as well, because then I don't have anything to say to that. :/

123. I'm actually pretty open with my ships and attractions, and while my mother is no exception to the people I communicate with, either, it doesn't change the fact that my friends and family don't care. Secrets like that are most likely just trying to find someone who does.

149. Yes, and everyone is begging for your respect. I don't really ship either of them, but Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer did date pretty seriously for a while, and it tends to colour the compatability of their characters for some people. I ship Thirteen/Foreman kinda, but I kinda treat Thirteen like a fandom bycicle, so I dunno if it counts (and also disproves your assumption).

D: I have a ton of net H/W friends, and while I love them all and can never get enough of 'em, either, it's so very aggravating that the only other person I know who even watches House is my roommate, and she's painfully innocent about ships and only watches it every once in a while. :/

haha, nice to see that someone knows how i feel. she's a really great friend and we've talked about fandom stuff whenever we can, but she's not really as "into it" as i am. if i have something fandom related that i want to talk about, she's willing to listen, but i always feel awkward bringing it up because i don't know if she's feel the same way i do, or even have a positive opinion on it.

whenever we start talking about house, all i ever want to do is say stuff like, "there is this one scene with wilson that i just loooved because he looked so pissy and adorable!" or "god, house and wilson are acting like such a married couple in this scene lol", but i never go that way. i just bring up vague topics like, "did you see this episode? what did you think of it?" and stuff like that. :( in fact, she once asked me who my favorite character was, and i said wilson, and i was starting to get into fangirl mode and she was just kind of staring at me with a look that just screamed "what are you doing?" ;;

145. I am going to see that film ASAP. While tipsy on mulled wine in Stuttgart on the 16th of December 2006 I wandered into Stauffenberg's childhood home, I saw his cello (lovely bow) and ever since then I've had a historical-type crush on him. Got a thing for men with eyepatches. I watched a silent film about the 20th of July plot about five times in order to sober up. Let's just say it worked.

156 - I did the same thing when I first started using the internet. I was in some sci-fi fandoms and lied that I was like 15 when I was 12. It was easy because I apparently came across like a 20 year old even at 12. Now, I don't necessarily IGNORE anyone who is significantly younger than me, but I do feel a bit odd that someone who shouldn't (imo) even be having sex is making explicit posts/reading fics about it. Of course, different people mature differently, so if they want to talk smut and participate in it, good for them. It still makes me feel awkward at 22. lol

156. I kind of feel the same way, but on the other hand, sometimes people are ready to read fictional representations of things they're not ready for in the real world yet. I'd rather my little sister was reading smut (if it was good smut) than getting pregnant at 14, for example. But I guess it varies with the person. (I'm lucky I was over 18 when I got online, so I never had to deal with it, but my sister's nine years younger than me.)
