It's not even a matter of fandom police, and I'm sorry everyone thinks this about crack pairings in general. I have a handful that I love.

What I don't love is the three or four people who follow me into each new fandom and shove the most outrageous crack pairing they can find in my face, then treat me like I'm stupid for not seeing it.

I truly hate both sides when this happens. Not in the case you describe where the attention is unwanted, OP, but when the guy encourages the ego stroking from fangirls who treat him like a fucking endangered animal.

I used to be active in gaming communities like Destructoid and those for FFXI (in game), so this type of situation tends to happen to girls, instead of guys, quite often. ("girls play vidja gamez!!1!? NO WAI!!") Granted, the attention is more patronizing than anything.

As if being a sexual minority (lol, what?) makes what you have to say more important or valid than anyone else's.
