158. I love Knight Templar characters, and Watchmen is awesome because there's no clear line between hero and villain. I don't think his motives were entirely pure, but how much was due to his own ego/lust for power and how much was due to a genuine want to save the world isn't clear-cut, and seeing him solely as a supervillain is oversimplifying.

121. I don't play it for the gay, but I do play it more for the colorful and intriguing characters than the plot.

And most fans enjoyed the games overall, including the parts where Phoenix and Edgeworth didn't interact, even if that's what they prefer to write about.

I think the idea was that Benny had told them they could live there for free because they were his friends, and then he met Alison and sold out and changed his mind; they weren't EXPECTING to have to pay rent, and it was a betrayal. I won't comment on whether or not they were still in the wrong at that point, but the feeling at least makes more sense.

108 - I have an uncle that's almost identical to him. He had some foreign tourists come up to him and want to take a picture with him because they thought he was the President. True story.

121 - I play it for the plot and the characters. In fact, I can't really get into any pairings in the game, at least not romantic ones, though I guess I did think Phoenix/Iris was cute.

111. I really don't intend this as a personal jab, but if that's all you can see in his character, you're not looking deep enough. Those behaviors you described are symptoms of his many issues. Does that mean you have to like him and be sympathetic to him? No, but he's not as flat a character as you seem to think he is, either.

108: Funny, I actua;;y had the hots for Lincoln when I was 10. We must have a hivemind or something. Though Teddy Roosevelt is more God Tier in my opinion.

117: I've lost interest in anime, however, you can use that Japanese knowledge on a different aspect of Japan. There's more to Japan than the cartoons (inb4 shitstorm correcting me)

151: That's one thing I really remember distinctively about some scanlation groups. When some groups get too into it, they get all egotistical about their project and some of them go batshit whenever another group starts scanlating their particular pet series.

I remember one incident involving harrassment of another scanlation group by a bigger group through phone messages, e-mail, and sending a server virus, which ended up dividing the fans a bit. After the two groups (who used to collaborate) went separate ways, whenever someone mentioned the name of the harrassed group in a topic on the bigger group's message board--even in passing, the post would get deleted, saying it was 'irrellevant' to the discussion, even when it actually was.

Tl;dr: Really ridiculous "SRS BZNZZ" bullshit going on there. That's one thing that really put me off from scanlation/fansub groups is that proneness to arrogance and overblown self-entitlement.

158: Admittedly, I didn't like Veidt much in the comic, but Goode makes me like him a little, even if he comes off as arrogant in some interviews ("line up and suck my dick" --how is that NOT in character for Veidt? I lol'd so hard). I get where you're coming from though. All the characters in Watchmen are tragic and sympathetic in some way, which is why I came to like most of the characters and the comic itself.
