124 - What a terrible thing to want of Sanji! And on this, the day of his birth! D8
Haha, whatever kinks you, man! I'd rather see Sanji top, tbh.

150 - I thougt there WAS a scene where they kissed? Err, maybe my head canon just made that up though. XD

158 - He did do the right thing I think, just... he really should have tried to find a better way to do it. <__< He was sort of a narcissist, though, you can't get uppity for that one. XD 166 - I can't even tell what that is. o__O Is it Snape and James/Harry? Or Snape/Sirius? Or Sirius/James? Moe Harry Potter art tends to fail it. <__< No offense if it's yours, just sayin'.

Excellent timing, or EXCELLENT TIMING?
I'm sorry. I am but a lowely slave to my kinks. ;_;

108. Awwwww, I like this secret:) I had a man crush on this guy who was told he looked like Abe Lincoln, though he could very well have been Abe as a young man. Historical slash FTW!

126. Man, when I got into that show when I was 12, I think that must've gone over my head, so I don't really think much of it now. Actually alot of that musical I just accepted at face value. I still dig it though:)

128. Jesus this made me mist up. All of the 9 Old Men are gone now:( This is one of the sweetest secrets I've ever read.

140. Hah, I didn't even care for the movie that much but I agree, there's something... enjoyable about him;)

147. Well dayum, now I wanna read it! I know about it mostly through Allison Bechdel writing about reading it for a college class in Fun Home.

[identity profile] ether-bunny.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
166. What is it, James/Severus? I guess on Severus' end, it makes more sense to me than Sirius/Severus (which seems to have a fairly significant fan following), but I just can't see James as gay. Sirius, on the other hand, seems v. gay to me for reasons I won't go into here because I'm sure no one cares to hear it, lmao.

171. Just... omg Mushishi secret! I found this episode freaky, too. BUT GINKO CAME JUST IN TIME. All you need is a mushi master to make you a new eye! And what I wouldn't give to see that mushi river.

Re: 166

[identity profile] killerqueen42.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Not that I ship them in particular, but I gotta admit that pairing sounds even hotter assuming neither of them are gay, if that makes any sense. Then again i do have a fetish for straight boys "experimenting with each other...

105. Because clearly anything that you don't like is garbage. (And I say this as someone who doesn't like most of the things pictured here.)

OTOH, I do sympathize. It sucks when people keep pushing things on you when you've already tried them out and have decided you don't like them. For instance, I don't like One Piece! I'm tired of people telling me I should give it a chance when I've already done so. It just doesn't appeal to me; leave me be.

N!S 3: Wow, awesome. How did you do that. Wait, I don't really care. ...*right-clicks and saves*

105 OP here

(Anonymous) 2009-03-03 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
It's my opinion that they are garbage, anyone's free to their own. Just don't heft it off on someone like a jerkwad.

[identity profile] yukitheawesome.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
150. Do I sleepwalk? Because I may have made this secret the last time I did that. I LIKE YOU, SECRETMAKER.

107: Heh, me too. I'm the same with Milo too, I think it's because I've never heard either surname said out loud.

142+156: Oh that was a glorious moment. :-P

158: I think he was genuinely afraid and genuinely wanted to help and I *still* think he's a megolomaniac. :-P

111. Seeing as though fandom tends to be disturbingly misogynistic for whatever reason, I think you just answered your own question.

[identity profile] marumae.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
111-FUCKING. THANK YOU. *gives you super huge mega high five* I thought I was the ONLY PERSON who though Tony was an egotistical bastard! I love NCIS but god I can't stand that character >_>.

114. Who doesn't?

117. Traveling is cool by default. You shouldn't complain.

147. Lol, I'm pretty sure James Joyce would be actually glad to hear that (http://johnhamilton.us/2/jamesjoyceletters.htm) :-D

158. I kinda see it like this as well. His intentions were good, but it's still scary that he actually went thorugh with his plan - I guess it mirrors Dr. Manhattan's arc, where his condition as superhuman makes him see other people as just another life form, and then he goes back to actually care. Ozymandias is human, but goes through a path where he is able to see people as expendable entities in the name of the greater good. Thanks anon, I never stopped to consider this parallel :-D

165. Again, WHO DOESN'T. I haven't ever seen Clannad but I just *love* that song.

I like traveling, but I don't like standing out like a sore thumb, or spending thousands on visiting a country I'm only nominally interested in now.

140. I'm not into RPS... I'm not into RPS... I'm... OH GOD SECRET POSTER WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME

158. Well, the comic doesn't try to convince the readers that he's right/wrong, it's kind of left up to us to decide whether the ends justify the means and such. So... yeah!

168. Everyone is gay lolicon for Kuro-chan, except for those who are straight lolicon for Kuro-chan.

140 OP

(Anonymous) 2009-03-03 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Well, maybe instead of RPS it could be solo smut?

105. For GL, the reason why it seems like a rip-off of other mecha shows is probably because... it's a parody of mecha shows.

(Anonymous) 2009-03-03 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Tell that to the people going "HEY THIS IS NEW AND AMAZING AND THE BEST THING EVER."

It's difficult to see it as parody when they start taking themselves seriously. Then it just reeks of plagiarism.

[identity profile] math-camel.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
126 - That was my first thought watching the movie with my friends (who had all seen the musical and loved it.) I don't know if they've forgiven me, an it really put me off the movie. I mean I did like the songs an stuff, but they were so lame that it made all the other angst seem less realistic.

164 - What is this? OMG, also: I love Mark Hamill.

[identity profile] akuma-divine.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 03:39 am (UTC)(link)

117. I'd suggest going anyway. I'd pretty much fallen out of anime when I went, and it was still an awesome, mind-blowing experience. I especially recommend going if you've never been out of your home country before. Granted, it's probably more fun if you're a big anime/manga fan because man do they have a lot of merchandise and manga there is really cheap (about half the cost compared to the U.S.). But there's still all sorts of foods to try, temples and shrines to visit, trains to ride, and culture to absorb.

Re: 117

(Anonymous) 2009-03-03 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
If I can't come up with a mad passion for any other country within the next academic year, I'm pretty much stuck with it. I DO want to go to a non-european country for my abroad, but going to Japan when I'm not an anime fan anymore makes me realize how deceitful I feel, what with all the pretending I did when I WAS a fan about how "oh, I'm going for the culture." I was such a liar, and now it's TRUE.

[identity profile] entro-pist.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
If you haven't already, you should definitely see a doctor. Especially if you have a family history of blindness or glaucoma. I can only imagine how unsettling that must be.

Re: 171

(Anonymous) 2009-03-03 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
My eye doctor told me at 6 that I'd be legally blind by 30.

Not that that was traumatizing or anything...

I've asked various people about it. A biology teacher, a neurologist... They all had no clue. And stupid me always manages to somehow forget when the eye checkups roll around. I guess I'm so used to being blown off that I don't bother anymore.

126: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I get that they're artists and I sympathize with their creative frustration, but what makes them so fucking special that they don't have to pay rent when everyone else in the world does? GOOD GOD PEOPLE, STOP COMPLAINING AND GET A FUCKING JOB.

135: I've thought the same thing. There seems to be quite a bit of Eliot/Parker fic out there really isn't any romantic chemistry between those two and the show is clearly making Parker/Hardison canon. I get the feeling that there would be more fic if it were any other couple (read: two people of the same race).

Re: 126

[identity profile] akuma-divine.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
They were against paying the rent because Benny said they could live there for FREE, which he can do because he owns the buildings. Then he shows up and wants the whole year's rent right then and there or everyone gets evicted.

AMEN. It's bizarre to me that Ozymandias gets so much hatred in the Watchmen fandom when his intentions are similar/comparable to those of Rorschach-- who is idolized by many of the fans-- and certainly loftier than those of the Comedian-- also a fan favorite.

158

[identity profile] merelyn.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
YES. THIS.

(Also, the reason I hate the ending of The Watchmen is not (only) because he turns out to be the "bad guy" because the lame squid plot was so not worthy of him. YOU COULD HAVE DONE BETTER, OZY.)

Re: 158

126

[identity profile] mspotamus.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
126. The reason they were "morally against" paying their rent is because their friend Benny lived with them, and when he got married he bought the building and promised them they could live there for free. They lived there that way for a year, and then he showed up one day and said, "LOL GUYS I NEED THAT RENT." So they owed an entire year's worth of rent that they weren't supposed to have to pay in the first place, and were supposed to give it to him all at once or be kicked out and homeless. So basically-- their friend Benny betrayed them because he got greedy.

The movie cut a lot out, and I don't remember if that part was ever fully explained in the film, but it is all laid out really well in the first few minutes of the live show. Check out the original before you start hating! :)
