107.
Nono. You're not. Oh, and that is Rose from LOD. Much love to you and her. :)

116.
I'm a history buff and that is my favorite movie! o_o Also, that scene makes me tear up and gives me chills and my eyes are kinda watering at the thought of Jack and Rose reuniting. ;_; *sniffle* And Cora and wahhh. Also, I love the song My Heart Will Go On. I saw Celine in concert a few months ago and she left the stage without singing it and I almost started sobbing-- then she came back out for an encore and sang it and then I reallllyy almost started bawling because she had this giant TV and...

Here. I'll show you. :x shhh don't tell no one I filmed it. I normally wouldn't but I wanted to be able to re-live that moment over and over and she wasn't selling any concert DVDs. :(

117.
TOTES.

168.
THANK YOU. Wow, people bash the creators? I might not agree with Sokka/Suki but I do not bash them or anything! Geez!

127, um. a giant fuckin' comic-fan-trying-to-avoid-this-shit-but-seriously-WORD to that, dude. *grabs your hand in both of mine, srs-like* we will form a club that never meets and we shall speak of it to no one. But when we walk past each other in the hallways of our mindsthe internets, we shall nod our heads in silent agreement. forevar.

150. eh, not blasphemy. Kay, a lot of people would probably say so, but not me. I don't get it, cause I've always thought McGinnis was kind of a giant douche, but to each his own :D

164, that is sweet as hell. Cap is love, truly. oh man. ♥

bahaha, I just realized I only had comments for the comix-related secrets this round. hee.

Now I'm gonna have to earn it allll over again :(

Yes, I completely agree. Review count misleads me. Sometimes they get it right, but most of the time I just don't like it. I know it's not always the author's fault as much the way they chose to do that story was not to my tastes.

I usually just stick to LJ because the bad-fic is not as rampant. It's when I run out of fics on LJ that I even bother with ff.net

107. That's Rose from Legend of Dragoon, I do believe! :D I have an action figure thinger of her tucked away in storage somewhere, so I'm quite familiar with her costume in particular, even years after playing the game. ...It's not even one of my favorite games. >.>

118. I'm guessing you're not a fan of Pretty Woman? :(

134. I'd tell them. I mean, you had an understandable reason, and if they're really your friends they'll just go, "Oh! Okay." And move on. Honestly, once you're in your twenties, two years hardly means a thing anyway. I'm 23, and if it turned out I'd lied and was really 25 or whatever, none of my friends would even care, because age isn't important. And I realize that the issue isn't the age but the fact you lied, but it's really such a minor lie and it's not like you did it to use anyone or gain anything (except access to communities). Come clean; it's obvious the guilt is gnawing at you.

138. Donna?! Is that you? D:

170. AGREED! Variety is the spice of life, people.

152. I have no idea who they are, but your secret is so enthusiastic I couldn't help but smile :D (I think it's the exclamation points!)

157. That's awesome :D What a fun secret!

So what, big deal! Two years this way, two years that way, who the hell cares? Definitely not your friends, they ain't barmen or bouncers to check up your id, they just think you're a cool person to hang around with. The magic boundary of 18, or 21, or whatever is totally artificial and plays no role in the actual people's relationships. Relax, and enjoy your friends, irl or online.

134

[identity profile] drwholigan.livejournal.com 2009-03-09 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
134: I did this too. Here's what I did: I told the person I was closest to first. I said "Hey...I have something I need to tell someone, and I want to tell you first." and told her. If they're real friends they should understand, and age shouldn't matter. After that one person you'll probably become more confident and it will be easier to tell everyone. Just don't try to tell everyone at once.

157

[identity profile] anbyrobanby.livejournal.com 2009-03-09 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I like how you think.

I used to do similar by crying "Alohomora!" any time I approached an automatic door.

I think I got that habit from fandomsecrets, too. Maybe. Was a long time ago X__x

I do that. Also when I'm unlocking them manually. XD

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2009-03-09 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
116. Well, now that I know the movie pretty much by heart, I cry at every scene. (Seriously, I hear the music pop up on my Zune and I feel choked up. When I need to cry? I pop Titanic in. Works like a charm every time.) But that scene...God, it's so beautiful. And seeing all of them just smiling at her...I lose it. The worst part for me in hindsight though is the scene when Jack and Fabrizio are waving at all those people and Fabrizio says "I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!!" I don't know why, but it makes me do this weird little laugh-sob every single time since the first. That or "I'm the king of the world!" D: GOD THAT MOVIE. Now I'm totally in the mood to watch it. :/

120. D: I kinda know what you mean. I love my House more than anyone can understand, but having a House does cost one a lot.

134. And right now you're kinda like, "two years, wtf why did I even bother?" right? Yeah, see, I lied my ass off when I was on this forum back in grade school...I gave myself four younger siblings (I always wanted siblings, considering I'm an only child), a hectic homelife (I live with the Cleavers, seriously), a name I always liked and an extra year to my age. It's random, I know, but at the time it seemed like a good idea. I left the forum years ago, but then I made a livejournal and started telling the truth, and I found a few forum friends on here...yeah. :/ It made for an awkward situation, but they still talk to me. Just be honest. And tell them why, they'll get it.

154. YES.

101. House?

115. She is gorgeous. Who is she?

127. It's the JEH-effect :) He gives so much heart and humanity to the characters he plays that they become beautiful.
On a more superficial note, if the guy (http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w185/LemonVanilla/JEH/wmpr08ma57jl0.jpg) looks (http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w185/LemonVanilla/JEH/wmpr08ma15yf7.jpg) like (http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w185/LemonVanilla/JEH/wmpr08ma22ew0.jpg) this (http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w185/LemonVanilla/JEH/wmpr08ma34ju4.jpg), who can blame us? :)

133. Ever heard of the phrase 'going out on top'? He wanted the show to end before the jokes run out, before the characters outlived their usefulness.

116

[identity profile] broadwaybabe11.livejournal.com 2009-03-09 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I cry, too, and I NEVER cry during movies. We watched it in school, and I had to hold back the tears. If it wasn't for being in a public setting, I would have bawled.

[identity profile] andromeda-2.livejournal.com 2009-03-09 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
101:I know I shouldn't be surprised by this, because, well, rule 34 and all that...yet - Monopoly slash? Never in a million years would I have seen that coming. Bravo, OP. Bravo.

Unless it has nothing at all to do with Monopoly, then ignore my comment and carry on.

105:Liking M/M...makes you a sexist? How?

107:...Legend of Dragoon? Rose was the first thing that came too mind.

109:Well, considering one of people that worked on the game(can't remember if it was the director, producer or character designer or someone else)said he wanted to do erotic games...there's really no surprise she turned out the way she did :P(Yeah, I don't think very highly of erotic games, no. If someone wants to prove me wrong, feel free to do so)

116:Name of movie?

124:Secrets like this is why I love F!S. Obscure children cartoon for the win!!(Although, seeing the comments, it appears that it is not that obscure). Sadly, the only episode I remember is when Alfred dreams of being in a desert without water...Aaaand not much else. If there's any show I would love for SVT to reair, it's that show.

137:Um, what IS that?

167:Name of this?

[identity profile] akai_senshi.livejournal.com 2009-03-09 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
105. Hey, that's your speed. I guess it's easier to insert yourself mentally/identify with someone if there's a girl.

119. WHOA. I remember a similar phase when my mom used to fangirl boybands...

139. Do I know you? And no.

165. Yes! You can learn a lot about freindship from YuGiOh.

170. THIS.

116

[identity profile] sibylblack.livejournal.com 2009-03-09 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel the exact same way. I think even when I'm ancient I'll still cry watching Titanic.

Same here. It's so. Freakin'. Heartbreaking.

103. Heh, awkward. Well, this show's not always fab with character development...hell, most Lost fans assumed Eko was Rose's husband for a while.

110. Aww, he was great. His was the saddest element of the story, since he was so good and driven to madness and all...man, I wanna write a paper about him or something. I love mixing fandom and academia.

119. Noooo! Oh, man, it's so scary when parents enter fandom, any fandom. D:

131. Hell, I do too. That's some good hair there. There's tons of LotR-RPS; is there any Troy???

144. Heh, I know what you mean. I kinda have the same feelings about HP. It's hard not to be annoyed at bandwagoners, however earnest they might be.

154. SWEET FANCY MOSES, IT WOULD. I saw The Little Mermaid on Broadway, and Grimsby was played by Jonathan Freeman, and I got really happy. In my pants. And Jeremy Irons, well...my GOD.

161. Me too! So very, very much! Her voice is just much more...pure. And she's hotter. I kinda always prefer film soundtracks to Broadway ones because I find the singing quality to be better because, you know, they don't actually have to dance around and stuff whilst singing; they're just lip-synching onscreen and I suppose that's cheating...but whatever; ITA.

167. I saw an advanced screening and the director was there, and his SB impression was hilarious. He didn't expect she'd actually want the role, but they overnighted her the script and she called him all "[high-pitched British accent] Oh, I simply loooooved it! I'm flying in tomorrow!" "What? Really??" "Yes, it was just marvelous!" Hee. Just a little background trivia for ya. :D

OP!

(Anonymous) 2009-03-10 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Now I'm thinking "You're not late, James still isn't here!"

This is my association with the word "late" now.

Oh, dear, this fandom...it breaks my brain, seeps into my life and makes me wonder why they haven't mentioned that Piers Morgan is a zombie during the actual series.

Personally, I blame Riona :-P

(I'm trying to write fic for it, I promise!)
hollydb: main (we'd do the weird stuff)

My first fandom, a long time ago, I lied about my age, too, and for the same reasons. I was either 14 or 15 (likely 15), but I said I was older...or I managed to convince people I was older without telling them anything concrete. Likewise, I went by a different name altogether. The few really good friends I had from that fandom didn't care, and if they did, they were too nice to admit it.

When I joined the fandom I'm in currently, I was 17 (and that was about 7 years ago...I'm so freakin' lame) ... and by that time, because of this experience, I was able to be comfortable with myself for me. One of the things the Internet does is provide the curtain of anonymity. We don't have to be any age, we can be whatever age, have whatever name or whatever occupation. Your friends online should understand that. They're your friends for a reason.

And, as others have said, 2 years ain't much.
