116. I hated this movie. I was merely 8 when I watched it and the scene with Jack and Rose having sex disturbed me so greatly that I promised to hate Leonardo DiCaprio since. And I still do.

But I remember almost tearing up when I saw the scene with the old couple on their bed, hugging each other while they were surrounded by water, and this particular scene in your secret...

I was more interested in the historical facts that I researched after seeing the movie. But those two scenes. KILL. ME. I realised that after watching it again with my band class at school a few months back. I didn't hate it as much, (although my hatred for Leonardo became evident again XP) but once I saw the two scenes I mentioned, I was reduced to blubbers. I was so glad the lights were turned off for at that last scene, my teacher laughed and told the assistant teacher about the time he watched it in the cinema, and he remembered that the entire hall was filled with women and girls alike, sniffling and crying. D:

127: I got into the graphic novel because of how awesome the movie looked. I loved every bit of the plot, the way the themes were interwoven, and the way the relationships were carried out. I was determined not to be dubbed one of the fans only in it for the movie, and I told myself I wouldnt squee, no matter how much I loved a character or some scenes. Then I saw Rorschach, and my god, he was one of the most beautiful men ive ever seen. I think the hair did it for me.

170. I like het because I can relate to it. I'm a girl whose preferences is guys. That's why I don't like slash; it's not that I find it gross or anything, I just can't relate to it because I'm not a male banging another male. You wouldn't go and tell a lesbian that her sexual preference makes her dumb, or a straight guy that "oh, you sleep only with women, you're so not cool", would you? (If you did, you're a terrible human being. =/) People like what they like and can't help it. This extends to fandom as well as real life.

113. Lassie/Jules is adorable and makes way more sense than Shawn/Jules, even though I sort of ship Shawn/Gus/Lassie/Jules. See, I don't think any one of them could stand being with Shawn in a romantic relationship for a long period of time, so they trade off. Gus gets him one week, then Lassie, then Jules. When Gus has Shawn, Lassie and Jules have each other, then Gus and Jules and so on. Fucked up? Sure, but any relationship(s) involving Shawn is/are going to be. Fact of life.
