159. A flaw in the logic: NO ONE CARES ABOUT JARED PADALECKI. They didn't say anything when he broke up with his fiance or there were rumors about him dating Genevieve. He's not a big enough star with a big enough fanbase (or even interesting enough for the rest of the internet) for them to make a blind item about him. No one's traveling up to Canada to look into this, that's ridiculous. If someone came forward with such information, most gossip reporters would say, "Who?" and move on.

People only seem to think it's Jared if:
A) They're a dumbass.
B) They want it to be Jared.

Which one are you?

It's okay, I'm entirely certain I'm missing the whole point of the show because I sort of want Raj and Penny to hook up. XD

101. Well, have you tried these other games, or have you just looked at them and said "No, I don't think so." Because if that's the case, I'd reccomend you give other games (especially western games) a shot. I used to only play JRPGs, but I've branched out quite a bit into playing shooters, WRPGs, and RTS games. I mean, if you liked MGS, you'll probably like other shooter/action games.

On the other hand, if you have tried quite a few games outside the stuff you usually stick to and found you didn't like it, well, that's that. Most of the criticism I see about the stereotypical girl gamer (and the stereotypical male gamer, who only plays shooters) is that they are completely unwilling to try anything outside of thier "safety zone."

121. I don't know whether I'm more confused/disturbed by Wilson raping people or House being retarded. I've only been watching since the middle of last season, but neither scenario seems to fit.

any fics i've read that have house being retarded, it's usually as a result of the deep brain stimulation at the end of season 4, when he could very easily have been brain damaged as a result, though canon didn't go there, obviously :P

and usually the idea of wilson abusing him in this state is presented as being out of revenge for his girlfriend's death...

i've seen some of these fics that are actually very good... *shrugs* dark!wilson is kind of my thing... but it's not for everybody :P

Also, I tried using the term "manslash" once, and people looked at me like I was psychotic. What, I must specify when it's f/f, but to specify m/m is horrific?

I didn't quite bawl, but it still stops me in my tracks every time I hear him on the verge of tears over the radio. And I'm about six playthroughs deep. :D

This made me VERY happy, especially considering my screenname :D

As someone who generally only ships femslash, I fully agree that there needs to be more f/f shippers, if only for the incredibly selfish reason that I get to have more fic to read.

I don't care much about the porn anymore, after a while it's all the same, but if I'm into a fandom and I'm going to read a pairing, I need two characters that I like/care about/am interested in and who also make sense, in my opinion, as a couple.

I only do one fandom at a time. None of the three fandoms I've been part of had two female characters that fit the bill.

By the way, I judge people who post "I judge" secrets. Very annoying.

Yeah, well, that's why we post our judgmental stuff in secret.

152. I totally used the phrase "obvious statement is obvious" to one of my friends without even thinking about it. She actually laughed without even getting the reference, so either a) it is actually funny taken out of f!s context or b) my friend was being incredibly kind in laughing at my "joke"

101. When did Metal Gear Solid become a "girl game"? I honestly find this kind of annoying that people even suggest this. It's been my favorite game series since I was like 12, and gah, do we really need to label it a game for the ladies? Seriously? Do we really need to label ANY of these suckers? When you phrase it like that, it makes it seem like a ton of yaoi fangirls have swooped in and taken over...

But on the other hand, I don't think you should feel bad or apologize for liking "girly" games, or even have to use that term. Not everybody is gonna have the same tastes, ya' dig? Just play what you wanna play, and don't attempt to impress dudes with it no matter what games you play.

Plus, the only ladies I've seen that annoy guys are the ones that A) slash up all the dudes in the games, B) avoid games that don't have "hot guys", or C) the ones who say they love games then only get two hours in on almost all of 'em and then quit. 8\ But if you are one, then hey, what's it matter? When you think about it, does the approval of some who judges you based on why, or how, much time you sink into a video game really matter much?

tl;dr: FIGHT THE POWER, KID!

I've always considered slash and femslash two different things. Because, well, they are. Not only because men and women are different biologically, but because the personalities of female characters tend to be different, not just because they're women, but because of how women in movies/tv shows/books/anime etc. tend to be portrayed. I only slash a pairing if its characters are interesting, and sadly I don't find most female characters interesting (I always make my original female characters just as interesting as the male ones, but other people tend not to make them as interesting in my opinion). I'm looking for a particular dynamic when I ship something, and I'm also looking for certain types of personalities (there's a definite trend in my favorite pairings). These ideals are almost always filled by men. Yes, I also have a tendency to prefer males because I do think it's hot, but if I see two interesting female characters with good potential for femslash, trust me, I'll ship it. In the original story I'm writing, one of my canon pairings is two women, and they absolutely rock.

But that's me. There's nothing wrong with liking only one or the other, or liking all three (slash, femslash, and het). Different people just have different tastes.

Also, forgot to add-- I don't agree with the idea that "slash is slash" (when one of those is actually femslash) because that the same as saying men and women are the exact same in every way, and that's just not true.

Well, clearly I disagree with this secret, but I'm the founder and one of the mods of the dark_wilson comm, so I guess that stands to reason :P lol

I know dark!wilson isn't for everyone, but there's a lot more to it than "wilson rapes house" fics... and the fic I've read there that *does* fit the description in that secret (note: i say *FIC* because i've only ever seen one :P) is actually very well written and moving...

I know it's not for everyone, but I have to just disagree with the secret, because it's an exaggeration and a stereotype to insinuate that everyone who likes dark!wilson reads/writes nothing but rape!fic... not that there's anything wrong with it if you *do* happen to like rape!fic... but there's a lot more than that that goes on in the dark!wilson section of the fandom :P

101. Yeah, I'm pretty much like that, too. :/ I love me my JRPGs, and I'm fairly sure DMC and Castlevania doesn't give me street cred because I play them half for the pretty boys and the slash. (Half being the operative term here.)

Most shooters are just a complete yawn to me, the same way most action films bore me. Hypermasculine dudes, war plot, shoot these mooks, blah blah. There's good stuff out there, though - I suggest Bioshock and Portal, which stand as the only shooters I've ever bothered to finish.

This makes you the COOLEST PERSON ON EARTH. I shall try this sometime!
