When I was a kid, I was picked on for liking geeky stuff like Doctor Who. Now it's cool and ok to talk about liking sci-fi in public and you know...I'm GLAD. 101: You should just play what you like to play, who cares what other people think. I've only ever played one game that wasn't a JRPG and that was Psychonauts (loved it) if that makes me a bad female 'gamer' well, so what. I don't play games for other people, I play games for me :P

101. You know what pisses me off the most? That people slap the label "girl game" on something, and it's supposed to indicate that it's somehow inferior, rather than just that girls happen to like it more than other games. WTF. Play whatever games you like, for whatever reason you like, and screw anyone who tries to pull that elitist crap.

117. I like all three standards types, but I do wander into femslash less, even less than het. I think it's because a lot of the interactions in things I read/play/watch tends to focus on male-male or male-female character dynamics. A lot of female-female stuff ends up being annoying or shallow. (Often both at the same time.) The male-female ones seem to always become romantic and use a dynamic that makes me grit my teeth, so there's no fic in that for my tastes. That pretty much leaves me with male-male to play with in most fandoms.

Throw me on the bandwagon of "we need better female characters and better female-female interaction". What's out there just isn't very appealing to me, and I don't feel bad about admitting it. Go ahead and judge me.

Why don't people who only like girl-slash call themselves slashers? And why do some consciously avoid reading/writing male-male slash? Slash is slash, right?

Augh, you're not another "Joker brainwashed Heath" person, are you? Either way, your statement is kind of ignorant.

But I agree that the Joker doesn't really have a "beautiful" inner side. It seems to me like the chance to have that sort of side was lost a looong time ago and he, for the most part, probably grew up without it and the way he functions, he wouldn't even know how to have a kind side. Not that his character is driven by being mean, or a bastard or an asshole, which is another part of your comment I kind of clash with. Those characteristics have nothing to do with his character. It's like it sort of says in the movie, he's more of a force than anything else. He has his philosophy, and its not based on emotion or sentiment ("it's nothing personal") so, really, I wouldn't even call him an asshole or a bastard. Nevertheless, he does have a vulnerbale side that he covers up pretty well, no pun intended.

Sorry for the ramble. I do a lot of Joker analyzing, he's the best character ever.

111. Dude, sexuality is NOT that black and white. How do you know Naomi isn't attracted to Emily? I mean clearly she is... no one is being forced to do anything they don't want to do. Hell, I identify as straight, but I've had the odd fantasy about a girl, and maybe one day there will be a girl that comes along who I am genuinely attracted to. Surprise, but hey, you never know.

Also, the female sexuality, I feel, is much more static than the male sexuality; that is to say, with men, whether it be for chemical or perhaps even social reasons, sexuality is a little more definite. For instance, you don't often see gay men making an exception for a woman they've fallen in love with, or a straight man doing the same for another man.

As Oscar Wilde said, "Men are pleased through their eyes, and women through their ears."

tbh imo, I feel like women are more apt to make exceptions.

No. Actually, many slashers do enjoy f/f (such as myself). Just, not to the degree that they like m/m. Asking why the others don't enjoy femmeslash (and it was more like you were challenging them as a whole) and judging them is like asking someone who enjoys femmeslash why they don't like slash/het, and then judging them on their answer.
