... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best.

Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made. I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

Am I just getting old, or are TV characters getting less distinct in their characterisations? Because I used to be able to tell characters apart and learn their names within a couple of episodes. But I just watched the dream episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds where they all become fantasy book characters and I realised I still only know about four of the cast, and they were all in previous shows. It turned into a game of "who was this character again and what is their regular job?".

Moffat and Chibanll broke Doctor Who so badly that I am left completely unmoved by the show's return with the anniversary special. I used to love it. All the way back to the classic era, and now I just can't. The episodes might still be there, but my feelings no longer are. That is a little spark of joy that is no longer in my life. Thanks a fucking lot for that.

I've been reading the Otome Isekai genre and I'm 100% sure that all the manhwas with blonde hair blue eyed MCs are low quality and full of annoying tropes. Brown hair with any eyes feel like a slice of life ad are always boring. Red hair FL are doom and gloom and should be avoided.

White hair with red eyes is an immediate Yes, and always a nice plot too. I have never been wrong so far.

All the other colour combinations have 50/50 chance of being great.
sb I'm being picky. I used to think The Gamer art was ok. Now I'm spoiled.

It took me until a few days ago to realise I've been writing Ahsoka wrong. I've misspelled it as Ashoka for years.

Movie celebrities picking up musical or artistic jobs give me a second hand embarrassment. They obviously ride there acting career fame with the audience mostly made up from their TV fans. For excample Russell Crowe isn't that great at music (I was at his concert), Viggo Mortensen's paintings is nothing to write home about (though his photography is nice if you like that sort of thing), Johny Depp's songing, etc.

There are two things I refuse to accept as canon in MDZS/The Untamed.
One is the Wangxian sexual roles. No way is LWJ the top. I could see WWX as a switch maybe, but LWJ has such strong bottom vibes. He's 100% the one getting his ass railed.
The other is WWX being a virgin until the end of the story. Yeah, he most likely hit a long dry spell after the Wens attacked, but he was definitely getting around before that.

To this day, there are certain songs I irrationally dislike because 15 years ago I heard them used in fanvids for my NOTP.

FS has been an interesting learning experience in communication for me. Not by making secrets or commenting (rarely do either) but watching secrets get "misinterpreted" by people reading the-text-that-is-there then watching OPs show up to defend themselves with totally unmentioned context (sometimes justified sometimes not).

I'd think it was on purpose for drama if they didn't keep showing up in comments seeming truly mad that people didn't read their mind or that people didn't immediately assume a whole lot of things they had no info given for. Kinda fascinating stuff to me.

I wish the term "entertainer" were more commonly used and accepted as a general profession.

Maybe we could finally stop stupidly and pretentiously arguing about whether some person with successful blockbuster movies who plays the same character all the time is a good "actor" or not.

I hate how visually "busy" most modern scifi looks. I feel a lot of movies and shows would work a lot better with a bit more restraint in sets and dressing.

I really dislike the trend in media of going for hyper realistic art.
Because well, there's only one reality to draw from, and if everyone's aiming for the same thing, it makes everything look horrifically same-y.
And also a lot of reality is just not that interesting to look at.

I'm starting to ship Estinien and Alphinaud (currently playing Heavensward for the first time).

Estinien keeps complaining about everything (even the moogles!) and being a pain in the pom-pom so to speak, except when it comes to Alphinaud. He's being almost friendly, teasing the boy and being worried about him. Even one of the moogles said something about it!

The issue is that Alphinaud is 16 (and frankly looks like he's about 12) and Estinien is supposed to be in his thirties (which I still don't get but then again I haven't seen his face yet - will I ever get to see his face?).

I watched 'See No Evil' last night, and it's really sticking in my mind. I'm a sucker for a particular kind of cinematography -- relatively little movement, carefully framed shots -- and this had it in spades. But it's also deeply unsettling, because it taps so well into a relatable manifestation of social anxiety, and then shows how that can be manipulated and taken advantage of, with horrific results. It makes you think about how well you're able to set your boundaries, how willing you are to be "impolite" in order to assert them.

What have you seen lately that you've liked or that's made an impression on you?

Is it bad to be annoyed by things?

Today I was annoyed with my husband, because he put a bunch of stuff in the room I just cleared out, thereby making it cluttered again. Perhaps I should have strove to understand his need to put things in the room?

Let's be real. Let's be real, real honest: most of you, if you ever had a person who was really, truly mentally ill and having some sort of break, would not be sympathetic to that person. They might amuse you, irritate you, make you angry. They might even make you afraid. What they would not do is make you feel like you should help them, or be there for them.

You would abandon them to rot. You tell yourself you're a good person, but you only care about people who are easy to care about. The second it gets rough, you're out.

I know it. I know it.

This is why I am going to die. Because humans do not care about one another. They will destroy one another, and tell themselves they're good people while they do it. They'll smile and cheer and have a drink. But none of it ever ends. None of it ever ends.

We are doomed. We are going to destroy ourselves. I want to control my death, but also I hate myself at this point, because my mind is fractured and I can no longer hold together the threads as I could when I was young. It's all coming undone. I feel it, I see it, and I don't want to exist with mush for a brain, I don't.

Does anyone here have friends?

Hoarding issues

A long time ago I posted here about having issues with hoarding behaviors. It's a problem in my family and I didn't realize I wasn't just "messy" and bad at chores until I was an adult living independently and learned a bit about hoarding disorder. I saw the beginning of it in me and started working hard to change my habits and learn new ones and just wanted to say for the first time in my life I'm actually happy with where I live. It's not always perfect but I no longer hoard and now I am just a normal messy person who occasionally gets behind on chores but usually keeps things looking nice!

If anyone else is in a similar boat I found the book Stuff very helpful and the reddit group r/hoarding. Thanks for the nice and encouraging replies back when I complained about dealing with this last year (?? Or earlier, idk). Just wanted to say I kept working on it and things kept getting better.
