I know someone that owns a tesla and it is hilarious how bitter they are about it. They like to say they bought it before they realized how awful Elon is and how awful the reality of the car is. It was expensive and they are going to keep it u til it dies.

I once ended up in traffic behind a Tesla with a license plate that read 'Tesussy' and I know nothing else about the driver but that is the reddest of red flags.

Would you care to elaborate on the People magazine and 'good schools' bit? I get the extremely vocal part - that habit is annoying no matter what they're being all super vocal bordering on preachy about.

I'm also curious what you think people are saying when they say "good schools". When I was a kid, a good school district was one of the top priorities in my parents' house-hunting because they wanted a school that had a good academic program with plenty of honors/AP courses, good teachers, that kind of thing. And that's what they did. Not every school district in my city has honors/AP courses or a good track record for students testing high, attaining national merit scholar status, etc.

The best thing to do with a guy who claims his favourite book or movie is Fight Club is talk about the homoeroticism of Tyler Durden. If he happily joins in, no red flag. If he's horrified and appalled, red flag.

That either means "I'm fine with the status quo" or "I'm conservative, but I know if I say that, women will run from me."

using the word "woke" without air quotes

listing to the Joe Rogan podcast

having a gun without proper safety measure and storage

letting your cat out at night (there are easier ways to feed the coyotes)

They think there is a difference between Ephebophilia and Paedophilia. And probably have strong opinions on age of consent laws in multiple countries.

Lack of empathy.

Performative empathy.

Shit-talking people/gossiping, especially about exes or friends.

Using any kind of bigoted language 1) not in the context of a quote or play/other media and 2) that is intended to punch down at/demean a marginalized person in real life, and 3) doubling down when called out on it instead of shutting up and reflecting on it.

People who talk the talk but don't walk the walk, especially when it comes to important matters (like family, or just being a decent human).

Addicts of any kind who refuse help and don't manage their addiction.

Guys who get older but their girlfriends don't.

At this point, anybody who is still a US Republican. Or anyone still on the "both sides" bullshit or thinking their vote doesn't matter - you're just telling me you didn't pay attention in Government class. (And I know someone's going to go "I live in overwhelmingly (color) state! My vote doesn't matter!" Assuming this is true if each and every one of you showed up to every election, you are the exception. I'm talking about people who can't see the bigger picture here.) Whether or not you realize it, you're someone who doesn't believe a large chunk of the population doesn't deserve human rights, or you support someone with those beliefs.

Anyone who worships misogynists/racists/bigots/misandrists/anyone LGBTQ-phobic.

Anyone who thinks your fictional preferences/morals reflect your real life preferences/morals, no exceptions.

Thinking Israeli/Jewish deaths are justified no matter what.
Open borders for your home country.
Love for Andrew Tate.
Love for plenty of stupid reality TV shows.
Those idiots on college campuses that went and willingly converted to Islam months ago. (Good luck wearing a bikini on the beach and being queer, assholes!)

I live in Canada, and blaming immigrants for the shitty job market (instead of the underlying economic and political factors that enable corporations to exploit foreign labour with low wages) is one that comes up early in political conversations. Obviously worse if they seem to only notice immigrants who aren't white

Being vocal about hating kids and/or cats.

Hating them is okay, and saying so once if someone's implying everyone likes them or something is okay, I'm talking about people who bring it up unprompted or go into a long rant as soon as they see a kid in public or hear that you own a cat.
