Y’all are really making me appreciate my friends even more. They don’t expect me to be into the things they’re into, even if it’s super popular. At “worst”, they’ll want me to listen while they explain what they like/hate/are excited about, knowing it’s not my thing. And I’m glad to do it. Especially because they do the same for me.

(My cousin does sort of insist that everyone absolutely needs to see the “top” movies of the year, but I only have to deal with that twice a year, so it’s pretty easy to just smile and nod and say “yes, I’ve been meaning to see that!”)

Has there been a lot of ZoLu after the live action? It seems to me a lot of new fans got influenced by the OG shippers and went the ZoSan route, which makes me sad.

The worst was Gaywatch, a queer reaction channel. Her chat primed her for ZoSan before she even started the LA and it definitely influenced her in going down that rabbit hole.

I mean, come on. In the LA we got a hug, hand holding, a declaration of devotion, Luffy literally saying he needs Zoro and Zoro clearly jealous that he's not the only strong fighter in Luffy's life anymore. And you wanna tell me people arrive at ZoSan organically in the LA????

I get that it's a play off of brunette, but my mind keeps saying that it should be either 'bluette' or 'bleuette', because there's no 'n' in blue or bleu. Though I think an argument could be made for something like 'cerule', from the Latin caeruleus. Anyway, yeah, seems likely that that's a term in-universe.

I always thought the mayor's character rang hollow; his persona felt faked even within the context of him concealing his goals, and his fatherly relationship with faith supposedly being a villainous foil to that of buffy and giles's seemed forced

That's how I feel when I hear people complain about Bendystraws Comeinpacks in the Dr. Strange movies. Admittedly, I'd never heard him with his real accent prior to those movies, so I thought nothing of the American accent. But now that I KNOW... on repeat viewings, his delivery of some lines do sound a bit off. But nothing on the level of "man, he's so obviously faking this accent, and it's sooooo bad!"

Yeah. Haters kind of ruin everything.

And I don't mind valid criticisms or dislikes, but I'm more likely to have a conversation with a person who lists issues and gives specific story-related reasons as to why those are issues, than the person who flails about screaming how some story's ending RUINED THEIR LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE or something. Just makes me want to do the Homer-Simpson-backing-into-bushes meme.

I remember James Marsters on the dvd for Torchwood s2 talking about how bad JB's behavior was and how he was talking to people to make sure they were ok. And he tells it like "Everyone was totally fine actually! They all thought this behavior was funny! It was my own hangup!" And even I who was on the JB/Torchwood hype train was like "Huh. That sounds shitty actually. Is JM blinking in Morse code right now?" And I stopped watching the show before season 3.

All this to say. It was wrong then, it's wrong now, and people in power are never fucking held to account. If he's really back in business I hope clips of his constant flashing end up on tiktok.

Client I got bond for on Tuesday. Family went to pick him up yesterday, told they had to come back today. Went this morning and they were told he was moved and they wouldn't tell them where.

I called multiple numbers and raised hell. Finally turns out they dropped him off at a random bus stop. Relieved they didn't just deport him or move him to another detention center. But Still really pissed off. Not okay.
