5. Where did they get that doll? XD

[identity profile] klytaemnestra.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 12:05 am (UTC)(link)

The doll's made by Tomoko Spatz. Her website's Crystal Castle (http://www.geocities.jp/crystal_castle_dolls/index-english.htm). She does OOAK repaints. I actually commissioned Rufus Shinra from her a while back, however I ended up selling him because I needed the money and it was pretty much an unwise investment made while I had too much disposable income.

10. The head of the penis looks a bit deformed. Weird :(

16. Hm, I never thought of that before. Slash and Yaoi ARE different :O and do have different roles and rules, usually. Guess that's why I'm a slasher.

17. LOL. Me too. They're always a hot-headed, sensitive guy/girl who has some charming quirks such as they eat a lot or they're a bit perverted or they are clumsy or they are too impulsive. And they always heal everyone's hearts and touch their souls with their contrived, kindergarten speeches. Wow, everyone in manga-land must be really dumb if they didn't think of the phrase "You can change if you want to!!" in their head, or something, since they act like someone just explained the theory of relativity to them when it's told to them. lol. :( INSPIRING.

Not all main characters are like this. But most of the time. I still usually like them, but I can't fangirl them or anything.

[identity profile] burningvigor.livejournal.com 2007-04-15 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
14. I think a lot of people do that. XD

15. Not really, I don't think. I mean, I guess it does? It's not too forced, though. I personally don't care who Ed is with, so I guess I didn't pay much attention to that.

18. Well, it's fine if it didn't do it for you. I mean, everyone likes different things. ♥

1. PROBLEM SOLVED. THE REASON FOR BEING HAS BEEN IMMORTALIZED. ♥

10. The pubic hair looks like porcupine quills.

17. GUESS YOU DIDN'T PLAY SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI: NOCTURNE. ...wait. No one did. :(

18. If you don't want it, you can always give it to me. 8D

18. I think a lot of the hype might be due to the fandom. ...Well, I do think that it's a really fun game, but the fandom makes me happy because everyone is so friendly and cracky and talented.

But some games/fandoms aren't for everyone, so that's understandable o: You must have at least liked the game a bit, though, to play through it twice. Anything in particular you liked/didn't like?

[identity profile] experienced.livejournal.com 2007-04-15 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
1. MOD SECRET GET?

11 cracks me up for some reason.

17. Me too.

[identity profile] dusk.livejournal.com 2007-04-15 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
15 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ohhh man. Yeah, i used to hate that pairing too, but I've grown to like it, or at the very least accept it.

17 I agree. I usually like the weirdest characters from a series or a minor-ish character. The main characters are always so stereotypical (for the most part) and it makes me want to cry :(

[identity profile] ew-younerd.livejournal.com 2007-04-15 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)

That secret was about a character in a game I was in called [livejournal.com profile] squenix_uni that was overtaken recently and I had played in it until it from the beginning before I moved to GJ. The character journal was [livejournal.com profile] frozen_deity and was the worst Yazuu I had ever seen.

13. AWESOME PICTURE. :OOOO

18. Truth be told, a lot of my Abyss love is from just how much fun I'm having in the fandom. The people I've met because of it is just so...damn awesome. It's like a big party. 83

...Which may not be to your tastes if you're not into parties. xD;

[identity profile] klytaemnestra.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 12:03 am (UTC)(link)

1. This somehow doesn't surprise me at all. Lol. I know back in the day my best friend said that she thought this place wasn't exactly being run by the most unbiased of persons. You guys are awesome.

2. I have no idea if this is the same community that I used to love so dearly before it turned stupid, but I feel your pain.

16. Yeah ... I hate how apparently it's so wrong to RP as an uke or something. I mean, yes it would annoy me if the uke was passive in the way RP went ... but well, I guess I'm usually getting stuck in that position as it is and I do whatever I can to move the storyline along. I like some dominance issues in the bedroom myself, but for some of my pairings it just doesn't work well that way.

18. YOU ARE INSANE

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
Uh, hey 16, but that's what uke MEANS in yaoi. You don't see slashers going around saying "lol you're such a bottom" to people who are weepy/campy/clingy/etc (because bottoming has nothing to do with that), but you DO see yaoi-fans saying "you're such an UKE" because that's what an UKE is as opposed to just a bottom. Have you actually read yaoi? How many non-weepy non-clingy ukes do you even know?

Yes, there are those that "break the mold" but they're few and far between and CREATED TO break the mold (and the fact that they were means the MOLD IS THERE which means yes, again, that IS what uke has come to mean). I don't care about power play, I don't care about semexuke realism (whatever, to each their own tastes) but saying that you hate that "uke" means ... "uke" (especially in the seme-uke stereotypical relationship which you claim all yaoi fans like) is really weird.

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, and if you "want evidence," I have gigs and gigs of manga I could send you. :D

16. ♥ I feel the same way! Really, I'm not big on semes abusing ukes in real life, but this is fantasy! We always hear studies about how women have rape fantasies, but of course they'd never want that in real life. Sometimes we just like our sexual stereotypes, okay? Not all ukes are like Shuichi, either.

17. Neither do I. The other characters are always more interesting. I'm not quite sure why Japanese game developers automatically assume that because we might identify with younger, poorer protagonists we want them to be the main characters. Hells no, Balthier kicks Vaan's ass!

[identity profile] dream-inspired.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Hellz yes. Vaan really was such a secondary character in that game. Every other character eclipsed him...except maybe Ashe, who I didn't like a whole lot.

:O!

Woe. Opinions and all, but I love the game :) I'm sorry you (probably) paid money for it and don't like it.

It sucks when that happens.

[identity profile] stormbringer986.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
17. I hate main characters too! There are a few exceptions (who mostly fall into the anti-hero category), but for the most part they're all too goody-goody and make me want to punch them in the mouth with a chainsaw. I'm like "Please, no one is that perfect and awesome!" I normally go for the bad characters, and then I'm disappointed when they get thrashed by those pansies who really shouldn't be able to touch them.

[identity profile] tardious.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Woah, strangely that's how I think at times.
