If you are discussing Shakespeare, never mind debating his work, then I'm guessing your companions know very little about the Bard too.

If you're an adult, then read his plays. They're not strenuous and you will enjoy them.

I see it, too! Not so much in the pictures you used, but I DO think Ty Burrell and Michael T. Weiss bear a striking resemblance both in look and sound. Damn, now I want fic, too. But only if you get a little wonky with time and either move season 2/3 Pretender to the present day or move Modern Family to the early early/mid 90s.

Because I love The Pretender, but it did not end strong and I don't think an extra decade would put the characters anywhere great.

Great choice of picture. I think it will surprise you that there are many other real cultures who practise circumcision besides Americans. Many times as a part of a coming-of-age ritual. Google. No reason why some of the fictional cultures couldn't have it as well. Granted, Tolkien didn't really discuss this particular part of his world's background, but ... that's what fan fiction is for.
