You can't know if your headcanon is better unless you have people read it who aren't familiar with the source.

Afterwards, you can out yourself and see if fans drift over out of a stupid sense of familiarity and solidarity. And that's when you can drop the hammer on them that you built yours out of scorn and see who's masochistic enough (or just able to deal with the dissonance) to stick around.

Yeah I think you're kind of getting worked up over nothing.

Also, I love finding fics for obscure fandoms. And I think a lot of people would get interested in something if they saw that there was fic out there. You don't have to post it if you don't want to, but it's more likely that someone will read your fics and maybe talk to you if you do.

Wasn't the reason she didn't like sex more tied up in her OCD than anything else, though? Yeah, I'll often post secrets with a popular (and annoying) opinion in my fandom, because I get a weird sense of satisfaction in seeing F!S people tearing the shitty opinion apart.

Occasionally I also post something I don't actually believe, either, but I just want to see what people have to say about it. I never post something to piss people off, just to get discussions going.

Oh man, they're so painful. I don't want to hit anyone, but there is much groaning and eye rolling on my part.

I just discovered a new one in a fandom that previously had none. In order to promote het over the popular slash pairing, a rash of "Dotty" fics have popped up in the pit strewn among the million Mary sue fics. The amount of "A mysterious new girl" and "Main character's baby sister/cousin/twin" fics is hilarious!

Probably won't happen. CLAMP is one of the biggest queerbaiting groups in manga--I can't even count how many couples wind up "implied" but never followed through on.
