Well, not money, but power / status?

I could be misremembering but I thought that was an element.

This that were "meh" about Frozen:
-Haven't we seen the "manage your powers by denying them and keeping them under wraps and isolating yourself" misperception done way too many times? We were eight minutes into the movie and moaning, "Charles Xavier, where are you when we need you."
-Hans didn't show one iota of his hand until the Big Reveal, and then he was all EEEEVIL. We couldn't have had him simply trying to make an advantageous marriage by sucking up to royalty without being all MURRRDERRRR about it?
-A few lyrics are pretty cliche, half the songs are kinda mediocre.

Things that were so good about Frozen they make me forgive the other things:
-Story about SISTERLY LOVE BEING MORE SIGNIFICANT THAN ROMANTIC LOVE. Wow. I'm able to stop my list right there.

I feel you. I hate them because I feel more comfortable doing my own work, and it's a total lottery whether you'll get good group members (which is awesome) or terrible ones (which is terrible).

It's also unfair. Yes, we get that in the real world we'll have to do work with others. But that doesn't make it ok to make part of one person's grade ride on the work of others.

My rant: my herpetology professor refused to push back the due date of the term paper, even though he did push the date of the second lecture exam to the same day. I knew I wouldn't be able to do well on both, and I ended up turning in a mediocre paper, even though I REALLY need to bring up my grade in this class. Well he told us that he hasn't had time to start grading them yet because he's so busy with the test. REALLY? You're going to penalize us for not turning it in at the same time as the test and then let us all know you won't start grading it for a week? And not even being a little bit ashamed when telling us? >:/

Most likely companies shift paper distributors often enough hoping to get the best deal. It's a tricky business finding the best for the least money -- a cheap deal sometimes means that the ink will rub off on the readers fingers and bleed through the pages (boy I remember those days). A better-quality paper may be heavier and cost the company more on shipping.

Ah, cool. I couldn't tell if you meant that he'd done something to piss you off, and I couldn't think of anything that would elicit that reaction. But boredom makes total sense even if I personally enjoyed it. Though I will say I liked it as much or more for the other characters than for Cap. Peggy especially.

That seems more of an indicator of you being shallow more than anything else, as only 'ugly' guys can become creeps. Same with the people wishing Ramsay wasn't hot.

Not just queer. A mental illness allegory is possible too which pulls in another demographic. I still relate more to Anna than Elsa though.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I think it's silly to feel smug about it in the first place, but even more so considering how old the pairing is.

As Diet_poison said, though, it isn't fair to have one person's grade riding on another person's. Its my grade, so I want to do the work necessary to get a good grade. Its not really the same as a real world situation. I'm just fine on group assignments at work. But school is different.

This made me realize how long it's been since I've read manga.

Me too, then I felt a bit sad. I used to love the smell of manga. (Which feels like a weird thing to say, but whatever, apparently others agree. Books DO smell good.)

What is it with all the replies on this? It's a fucking secret. They know it's dumb, that's why it's a secret. And as long as they're not expressing this rudely to people I don't see what the big deal is anyway.

It certainly looked like it in this one movie I watched with some friends of mine.

We were all very upset by this. We couldn't concentrate on any of the porn because it looked really painful. We all swore never again Blu-Ray.

Its not something he seeks. But in the books the issue between him and Dany is portrayed not as she's underage but that he wants a woman who is way above his class. She's a queen and he's not a nobleman. He's not looking for it, but him wanting someone above his status level is presented as a problem.

Nah. I did dislike the character a bit because he reminded me of Superman (I fucking hate Superman). But reading some metas and fic made me like his character a lot more. And he is nothing like Superman.
