Same here, honestly. I have a huge fondness for the outer senshi and am kinda 'meh' with the others. It's probably why I'm not flipping out over the 2013 reboot, because there's no guarantee that the outer senshi will be in it at all, as far as I've heard.

I guess it's the fact that they were more mature and more cynical that I liked them so much. I never really related to the inner senshi because they could be very typical teenage girls and I was never a typical teenage girl. I think I also tend to like characters that are a bit darker. Also, while I'm a fan of love defeating evil and the power of friendship, I always felt like it was just too over the top with Usagi at times. Like, they just punched you in the face with that moral too hard and too often and it was always her love that saved the day.

Uuugh, that shit's nasty. I'm sorry they did that.

Stuff like this has happened to me as well, where trolls or an insensitive asshole or whatnot were hateful enough about a character that it tainted my experience of the character for a while because of my disgust and anger. It's not fair, but it happens. The good news is that it will go away. Give it a little while and you'll be able to go back and enjoy what you enjoyed, with a clean palate.

Every time I do Darkmoon Faire, I recall that incident. Though I don't think they engineered the gaffe purposefully, I do agree that putting their lore where their PR is is overdue.

I love this movie! And I agree that Rickman and Thompson had an amazing chemistry. I think that Brandon/Marianne isn't a marriage born from passion and sex chemistry, though, so it's okay to me if we don't see sparks between them.
