No surprises at all. Clinton destroyed it. Trump destroyed... himself. Not that he'll lose a single voter, even so, but there you have it.

I skipped it to watch a movie, but I've seen clips of it and in each one Trump was getting bodied. Hilarious. It must've been pretty bad, even my mom acknowledged that it went poorly.

It really is bizarre to me how bald-faced Trump is with the lying sometimes. Like... Lying happens in politics, but usually there's at least a degree to which it's a question of judgment, or interpretation, or political opinion. Or at least complexity. But like... He just lied about things that were blatantly factual. Like the thing about the Chinese inventing global warming - how on earth can you just deny ever having said that when the tweet where you said it palpably exists? It is mind-boggling in its enormity.

It surprises me that both the liberals and the conservatives say Clinton won. (Well, apart from the Drudge Report, which is still calling it a Trump win.) Even Stormfront admits Trump failed!

I'm tired.

I was all set to go to bed early last night, but I picked up one of my favorite books - an obscure fantasy novel - from the shelf for some unknown reason and I wound up staying up past midnight re-reading a big chunk of the thing. I've certainly stayed up late reading or watching things plenty of times and I've gone to late movies, but this was something like over four hours in one sprint spent reading a book I've read multiple times before but hadn't touched in years, and I didn't even notice the passage of time.

Gotten sucked in to any faves recently?

What do you think of phrases like "kill two birds with one stone," "beat a dead horse," "running around like a chicken with its head cut off," and the like? Do you think they trivialize violence and encourage cruelty to animals? Should they be retired in favor of substitutes like "stroke two birds with one hand" or "accomplish two objectives with one action"?

How about using "rat," "ass," "snake," "bird-brained" and "weasel words" as insults? Are these speciesist slurs we should purge from our daily speech, or harmless idioms our language would be poorer without?

Either because they're even worse, or because they're better than you thought.

Mine's the latter. I'm part of a workshop choir for a new show (operetta? musical?) by some local artists. The music was fucking hard on my own, but there are so many beautiful moments with the whole choir there. There are about 2, maybe 3, songs I'd happily listen to as a 10hr YT loop.

I've had my second super busy day of the week, the next two are booked just as solid, Saturday is looking really busy, and I just came out of a booked weekend. It's already been a long week, for me, but not in a bad way.
