Someone I knew in fandom way back in the day, died yesterday. She left LiveJournal over ten years ago and because she had a very unusual name I was able to find her on FB a few years ago. The last year I've been able to follow her VB status updates on her cancer, so it wasn't a shock that she died. She was one month older than me.

I just listened to a really awesome one with Sir Tony Robinson on Richard Herring's podcast, and it reminded me how much I love him (and brought back memories of Fat Tulip's garden, does anyone remember that kids show?? It was amazing). Has anyone else listened/watched any good interviews lately?

I have a long-term Internet friend.

Over the years we've been friends, she has steadily become more conservative. This is partly because of bad treatment and bullying from SJWs, especially from a prominent BNF in our fandom. She considers SJWs pro-censorship and associates them with the left as a whole. She's an incredibly talented writer and a loyal friend, and has never bullied me despite our opposing views, but has recently begun blogging about politics more to a degree that makes me uncomfortable.

She self-describes as a moderate, but reblogs far more right-wing statistics and blogs than left-wing ones, and things which genuinely unsettle me - things like approving of Milo's behavior at college campuses, citing the Internet Aristocrat as a source, vague defenses of Johnny Depp, and reblogging about how the danger of Trump is overblown and everything will be OK (which I don't agree with at all).

I understand that she was hurt, but I also get the feeling she went too far in the opposite direction. I don't like dogpiling and public callouts, and SJWs have done some extremely bad things (i.e, the zamii episode), but I think Trump and his group are far more dangerous (off topic, but Milo confuses me in particular - I'm probably being incredibly naive here, since I haven't read any of his stuff and don't plan to, but how can a gay man support such an incredibly anti-LGBT+ regime?).

After the last election, I'm worried that things are building up to a fight. On my end, I would like to express solidarity with the groups and people antagonized by Trump, as well as my anger with the new regime and what it represents. I respect her as a friend, but I also want to show where I stand and oppose Trump publicly on my blog.

Should I confront her, or should I leave well enough alone?

Holy shit, you guys. So, I'm getting a porny fic beta'd by a new beta, and they were all "You need to tag for anal sex, not everybody wants to read that!"

They were referring to two characters doing it doggy-style, and it took a shit ton of convincing to make them realize that no, not all sex from behind is buttsex. Yeeeeaaaah. Unless they end up being a god of grammar or something, they won't be my beta in the future.
