143- So what if it had aliens? People act like that's less plausible than the plots of the first three movies. Indiana Jones has ALWAYS had crazy implausible plots.

NS3- I think that a fan of the original canon has every right to hate a poor adaptation and to say that they can't is imho, positively ridiculous. I think the FMA anime is bad. It takes great characters and great plot ideas and doesn't begin to explore their potential, and the writing is sloppy and nonsensical near the end. The last ten episodes seem to rely purely on an obnoxious "omg what random crap can we pull from nowhere!" mentality. They're both separate canons (anime canon and manga canon), but they are not equally canon. Arakawa's world, Arakawa's characters. You can write and be a fan of the anime canon and that's fine but in no way is it on equal ground with the manga. And in no way should I have to like what I see as an extremely bad adaptation because I like the manga. And in no way am I an "elitist" for not liking the anime. I mean I watched the anime long before I read the manga anyway.

133. I like Random Shoes as well, even though I lie and say it's terrible when I'm asked. Because... it is kind of terrible (bad first person narration, lame use of awesome music, etc.). But it did its job despite the cheese. I thought it had a really uplifting ending, and enjoyed seeing Gwen do something right for once.

I'm pathetically insecure about my gender identity because my discomfort with my gender got hella worse after puberty, by which time I was already in fandom. Because there is no sure-fire way of knowing what causes transgenderism or what it really even means, I can't help but question if fandom, or something else, has influenced my feelings to the extent that they are not "true". : /

I criticise and argue against people who question other transpeople in this way, so it's not as if I agree with their broad transphobic arguments. I just secretly wonder if my own identity is as legitimate as others. And I don't know what would be worse, rushing to transition and having second thoughts, possibly fucking up my life in the process, or doing nothing for years and then realising I've wasted half my life. /tl;dr

Anyway, I hope you figure it all out.

*shrugs* I can definitely see how/why it bothers you, but not all of us are doing it because zomgz, we care only about the userpics. (On that note, both of mine are under 15 pictures, even. SO. :D)
