I don't remember 5 or 10 that well, but I don't think so? Definitely not so compared to 15. I'm not very cynical but I am very pragmatic about certain things?

I'm supposed to be cleaning and packing because my family will be here in 3 days to help me load up and move out of state. But I look around at everything there is to do, get overwhelmed at the amount and convince myself that 3 days is a long time, especially since I'm not working. But I know it's not and that I'm going to be taking it right to the wire and it's terrifying.

Adult Braces?/ Alternatives?

Has anyone here had braces as an adult? What was your experience? Or did you have invisalign or some similar treatment to treat your issues? Was it worth it in the end? Did your confidence decrease while using them? Did you not give a crap about anyone else? Horror stories? Pleasant stories? I ask many questions.

I'm in my mid twenties and I was thinking of getting braces to fix a crossbite (straightening my teeth is an added bonus -- I just care about the grinding away lol). I'm fairly vain, but I also think I could get over it when I think about the damage I'm doing to my teeth.

So ya'll...care to share? Or even if you had braces as a kid, please share!

I didn't really have anything to be bitter about at age 5 and I barely remember, anyway. Age 10... yeah, a little. I moved and started at a new school and you would not believe what little bitches girls can be at that age. Middle school also sucked in that regard, but by age 15 things had improved somewhat because people had matured more by high school. But I'm probably more bitter and cynical as an adult because I've been through a lot more - nice relatives died while the shitty ones cling stubbornly to life. Jobs were lost and job hunting sucks your soul dry. Health problems. Political climate. Allll the good stuff, basically.

Hi... so a while back I posted here when I was going through a really rough time with my roommates, and I want to thank everybody who responded.
Since then, I've been going to counseling, and I think it's helping a lot, even though the roommates are as shitty as ever and my relatioinship with them is dead.

I also have the option to get out of my lease, but it's kind of late in the year when they finally let me, so I'm scrambling to figure out what's the best option for me atm. If I leave, I have to leave at the end of June... so now I'm making pros/cons lists and trying to see my best course of action.

I still want to thank all of you who responded. You guys said things I needed to hear, and I just needed to be HEARD by somebody, so it was a big help.
People may sometimes complain about this comm, and it's not perfect, but I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for you guys.
