man I kind of hate everyone calling her an antihero all of a sudden just because...she had a drinking problem, I guess?

she's a bog-standard hero, rough beginning, redemption/return arc, etc

anti-heroes are a lot darker imo - they do distinctly Non Heroic Things but are protags anyway for variety of reasons

obv there isn't a clear dividing line but I think it's worth having a word for that, and not expanding it to include any kind of hero who isn't 100% squeaky clean

like, John Winchester is an antihero, Rorschach is an antihero, Constantine is an antihero

Tony Stark and Valkyrie are heroes with bumpy rides

I think he loses that ability by LOTR. I'm actually more interested in other Maia and Valar having the ability. I really want to see fic where people see Gandalf in his real form (or the one he takes in Valinor). And, I'm also curious if Elwing continues to be a bird (I think it states somewhere she does but it might be pre-Canon material).

I thought they did a pretty good job with making it a bit mysterious how she ended up in the cabin in the woods. And considering she was raised in a lab I don't think it's impossible she would have stayed indoors for a long time.

It did bother me that they showed her coming back out of the Upside Down right away after she went into it at the end of Season 1. (At least that was how it looked to me.) I felt like she should have been in there for a while dealing with the monster. Also wouldn't people have looked for her there right after it happened?

It's hard not to ship it, tbh. It's kind of skeevy in the sense that Baby is being forced to work for him so it'd be hard to believe they'd fuck of his own entire free will, but... hearing, "That's my baby..." in that tone of voice just... damn...

I thought it was handled well. I think it's okay to recognize that much.

Obviously it doesn't end here, it's not like he can say "sorry" and it all blows over, but as far as the action of saying sorry goes, this was a good example of how to take the first step of admitting and apologizing. Especially when compared to what all the rest of the accused have done.
