Personally (as a white person) I'm aware that this is a sometimes-touchy subject (and you shouldn't try to touch someone's hair because you think it's interesting or a cool texture or "exotic."). So I would never single out a compliment about hair because it could be uncomfortable for a black woman.

Personally I love the look of natural hair, but I wouldn't say it bc of above, and while I always think it's kind of a shame to see people with hair straightened to within an inch of its life, it's not my business, and I think it would be rude to say anything about it (but at the same time, I couldn't compliment it and mean it).

I too am frustrated by the lack of spoiler leaks for TLJ but I am more annoyed by all the way wailing and carrying-on for the fake leaks. Just wait a few days before freaking out. There's no cause to send death threats to the director at all but especially for something that you don't even know is in the movie. Calm the fuck down.

I'm feeling kind of conflicted about my newest ship. I tend to go back and forth between finding it an incredibly romantic epic love story, and thinking they're both awful people who deserve each other because no one else should have to put up with them. The bad thing is that even though they're sometimes awful to each other, they still have pretty much my ideal relationship. I don't know how to feel about that.

(No, I don't want to say who it is because I've seen people here jump on someone else for shipping it. And no, it's not Twilight or 50 Shades of Gray.)

Shitty day and lost pet :-( venting

I just spent two hours hunting for a missing chicken in the dark after coming home from work. No luck. Also it was trash day and someone knocked over one can so it wasn’t picked up and there was trash everywhere, and filled the other with their own garbage after the trash truck went by, so now I have no place to put my trash until next week. Assuming the don’t pull this same shit while I’m at work next week, too. I stopped leaving the trash cans out because people stole them. Now I can’t even put them out on trash day, wtf.

I have a work party to go to tomorrow morning, and I need to go to the store, wrap my secret santa gift, and make two different dishes for the potluck tonight. I was gonna go see The Shape of Water with a friend after the party, but now she says she can’t go. I was making her dish for the potluck tomorrow as a bribe so she would go, since she can’t cook. Now I kind of want to stay home, cry, and keep my new white elephant electric kettle for myself. But I’m already the weird new outsider at work. Ugh. I hope my chicken turns up alive and uninjured.

Oh, ffs. When I went to post this my wifi and even the fucking landline I need to cancel were down. I’m using my data plan. At this rate tomorrow better involve my winning the lotto jackpot to make up for the last two days. Fuck this bullshit.
