Composing an email to check on the status of an item

It's for a fanzine that I ordered and I was charged on the 7th. The automated email I got said that the item would be shipped shortly. I checked their social media which said on 13th that they were still shipping out the zine. It's a small team effort, the people behind it are trustworthy, and the zine pretty popular so I don't want to be pushy, but I'm kinda worried since it's been so long, there's been zine scams in the past, and I hardly ever buy things online.

Should I send an email to check the status of zine and if so, how should I phrase it?

My aunt has started sharing articles from a rightwing website on facebook

She's sixty+, not very internet savvy, probably hasn't got a lot of understanding of the difference between media following some standards of journalistic integrity and private websites that can post whatever the hell they bloody feel like posting. And she's so nice I love her, and I just want her to understand that just because it's got a professional-looking layout and a lot of rage about the "socialist mainstream media", that doesn't mean that they are actually telling the entire truth. If I had any hope about her listening to me explaining this, I would've; as it is, however, she knows that I'm liberal and left-leaning and probably thinks I'm nice but a bit politically brainwashed or something.

In short - does anyone have any suggestions for explaining older people that checking your sources is hella important?

I finished watching Welcome to the Ballroom earlier today so I started reading the manga. Two volumes in it seems like it was a pretty faithful adaption. Some of the weird exaggerated body poses in the anime are in the manga but not nearly as extreme (they reminded me of the worms from the MiB cartoon in the 90s)

I just downloaded the first few issues of Black Eye Kids (B.E.K.) which I'm hoping is creepy. I also plan to get back to Animosity (left off on issue 4). =)

This reminds me I need to get back to the Teppu manga so I can start a new sports manga before the end of the year. AND I haven't checked Gunnerkrigg Court since September??? A new chapter was starting at the time so I thought I'd wait it out. Might go back to reading it weekly cuz sadness with waiting. lol

Fall > Winter > Spring > Summer

Objectively correct, no way to argue with this. Fall is perfect because it's chilly and cozy and lovely. Winter is good but it's too cold and too long sometimes. Spring is OK but it's all windy and annoying occasionally. Summer is too fucking hot and sunny.

Spring/Fall/Winter-Summer

Spring is great because everything is just getting warm, the ice is gone, everything is getting pretty and in bloom again. Fall because again the weather. I don't live in an area that has great tree colour, so it's more the signalling of winter coming.

Winter and summer are tied for the worst because in winter the ice and snow make my already multiple mobility issues worse because of ice, snow and inconsiderate homeowners and businesses who don't keep the sidewalks cleaned and salted. Summer is the worst because 26c is my the maximum temperature I can tolerate before I get ill and I live in the super humid southern great lakes region.

I'm reading "Japanese Eyes, American Heart" which is a collection of personal narratives/letters/speeches etc. by Japanese Americans who served in the military during WWII. It's really good, really personal stories. A lot of them have interesting stuff to say about race and culture as well as the war.

Things you wish you had time to make

I've had a famcomic in my mind, and decided to take it to paper, but I'm only on the second panel and I'm wondering who the hell has time to fully flesh out a comic? Who is not getting paid for it and has other matters to deal with? Anyone out there who has done a fancomic/dojinshi? Tips/your links for inspiration would be appreciated!

So much respect for fanartists atm.
