Things you feel guilty about. Can be silly or serious.

Mine- I tripped Groot at California Adventure once.

He came back in through the GOTG shop after his photo op outside and I guess he didn't see me crouched on the floor to pick up my sunglasses. I saw him coming at the last second and started to move out of his way. His foot caught my leg and I reflexively lunged up to help his handlers catch him. He didn't fall.

Bless the guy in the costume, he stayed in character the whole time! And I was just like "Groot! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"

He gave me a hug and said "We are Groot" and carried on to his "backstage" place.

I feel SO bad though...I almost tripped Groot!

Looooooooooooooooooooots of things. Believe me. My 'inner voice' is very harsh about everything really.

I feel guilty for venting about my mood swings because I feel like a.) I'm in a good place in life, and b.) most of the time I know they're the result of chemical imbalances in my mind that will probably dissipate the moment that something really good happens or whatever little problem I have at the moment is solved.

I feel guilty for spur of the moment thoughts about doing or saying something mean. I feel guilty about doing stuff that might come across as egotistical, or if I talk about self indulgent ideas sometimes.

I feel guilty about finding small things about nice people annoying.

I'll just.. stop here.

Buying stuff for myself. I am fine buying things with others but not for myself.

If I ever accidentally step on my cats tails or trip over them in the dark I feel so, so bad. I'm sorry my fuzzy bbs I didn't mean it. :(

Also saying no to people. I'm much better than I was a few years ago at not feeling like I'd done something horrifically wrong for refusing someone, but the twinge of guilt is still there a little.

I still feel bad that I assumed someone was a troll and made fun of her.

That my cat and I seem to work on opposite schedules sometimes.

I'm around and try to play with her, she's preoccupied.

Then I start doing something and she wants to play. :(

Most of the podcasts I listen to have no fandom in regards to fanfic, art, and sometimes even discussion.

Oh, I have one. I really like the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons series. Fan consensus is that Grand Bazaar is one of/the worst game in the series, but it's one of my favorites. I played it a fuckton during a low point in my life, and it has its own charms if you're willing to look for it.

Michael Kors perfume (the one that's just called Micheal Kors) and Midnight Oud perfume by Juliette Has A Gun.

Both perfumes are hated more than they're liked, and I can understand why. The tuberose in Michael Kors is overwhelming and kind of one-note, and Midnight Oud has a bit of a burnt rubber smell for the first twenty minutes or so. But I like them both anyway. I like powerful, distinctive perfumes.

I still think Lost Dimension gets more flack than it deserves. It’s the Alpha Protocol problem—if your game is meant to be played multiple times, reviewers on a deadline will play it once and give it a bad review.

A house is the most obvious one. I think home construction turned to crap after WWII.

Some furniture - not upholstered things or cushions, but good hardwood furniture.

I buy a lot of used parts for work stuff. If I can visually confirm there's no problems with it, I mean. Most of our lighting rigs, ratchet straps, simple tools, stuff like that. But I only buy it from other people in the industry who are upgrading or cleaning out their shops or whatever, I don't trust random sellers.

Question for fellow introverts

[personal profile] philstar22 2018-01-18 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
How do you explain your need for time alone to people who don't understand? My need level seems to go up and down, decreasing when life is good, but increasing when I'm having mental health issues.

My sister is visiting. She's a complete extrovert. And we've all been doing things constantly for the past few days. So everyone else wanted to go to the movies today. I drove home while they went. I'm still having headache issues from the cedar pollen, and frankly I just needed a couple hours to myself.

My sister, it seems, was offended that I didn't want to go with them and thinks I just don't want to spend time with her. And I don't know how to convince her otherwise. I love her. She knows things about my our parents don't know. I don't know how just wanting a few hours to myself makes her think I don't want to spend time with her. But that's how she feels.
