Star Wars soundtracks. I grew up on the OT, watching it with my dad. Also the OT soundtracks were some of the only things I listened to for a good chunk of time when I was a kid.

Michelle Branch's album The Spirit Room makes me nostalgic for being 14/15.
Third Eye Blind's self titled album makes me nostalgic for being 16/17 and angsty - especially the deep cuts God Of Wine and Motorcycle Drive By.

I have a chronic condition that normally improves in the summer. Last two years though it hasn't. So now I guess I'm going to be sick all year round.

I dropped my phone and now there's a crack in the glass - the display and functionality are perfectly fine and it's really just one single crack in the corner so putting a screen cover over it for stability would probably work for now because a repair would be ridiculously expensive. But I'm so angry at myself and it's just another shitty thing on a heap of generally shitty things in my life right now and I've only had the phone since April so my self-loathing and bad mood is off the charts right now.

Fandoms where you prefer the movie/TV adaptation to the book.


I'll start with an easy one -- The Notebook. Reading the book was like watching paint dry, but the chemistry the actors brought to the movie made me enjoy it.

I also prefer Matilda to the original book - I like how they gave Matilda more friends and gave the Miss Honey + Trunchbull backstory more depth.

Can someone tell me what I am missing because that first rate cannot be right?

Augh! Bedbugs!

Anybody here have any learned-from-experience tips on how to deal with bedbugs? My father bought one of those tv trays with a pillow on the bottom side - used - and now we have bedbugs. :(

So far we've thoroughly gone through our rooms and the living room, thrown out our ancient ripped up POS couch, run most of our fabric items through the dryer, sprayed bedbug spray in the most suspect places, and dusted diatomaceous earth pretty much everywhere. Plus we've set up a couple of traps (fruitless so far).

The thing I'm really struggling with is figuring out what to do with items I can't throw in the dryer, like underwire bras, delicate underwear, beloved workout gear that I don't want getting baggy, books, etc. Obviously I've visually< i>checked these items for bugs, but would I be able to tell if there were a couple of eggs on an item? IDK.

I'm just very overwhelmed and would love any tips.
