I tend to steer clear of fanfiction in general, but personally, I think Nekozawa is more a slightly akward and dorky otaku (of black arts) then anything else - bit like... Kasanova? (Only a different kind of akward?) The only angst he really had was dealing with his sparkily little sis, but it's not totally in dispair, and he hasn't quite lost hope about it. I personally think he's coping quite well with his dorkiness.

In both the manga and the anime, his relationship with Kirmi seems to be doing quite well, actually. He doesn't scare her anymore, and in vol, 8, there's an image of them standing together, both wearing robes and doing a creepy laugh. ^_^

Okay, I'm not 100% on this, but I seem to recall reading on someone's journal (and I can't for the life of me remember who), a silly little post that related a story that went something like this;

Fangirl likes Jensen Ackles, or SPN, or whatever. Fangirl's hubby/boyfriend/someone wanted to tell her something related to Jensen Ackles, except that he called him 'Jed Bartles' cause hubby isn't a fan and didn't remember his name. Cue fangirl's general confusion for a few minutes while hubby says 'You know, that guy you like! Jed Bartles!' until she figures out who 'Jed Bartles' is supposed to be. If I'm remembering correctly (and that's a big 'if'), it was just a funny little anecdote, although it appears the Capslockers may have appropriated the name for something else.

DISCLAIMER: I may be remembering this completely wrong and pulling shit out of my ass. But I SWEAR I remember reading this post somewhere.

I'll admit KHR is one of those series a person either hates or loves. either way is fine with me, but to be honest I don't see the necessity to post secrets like this because 1) A human being should be respected regardless of what they like or don't like. 2) Pointless because, honestly, I'm don't care about some random person's opinion on me and whom I'm probably never going to meet. As far as LOLWITCHESCASTMAGIC books go, I'll take Harry Dresden over Harry Potter hands down - although they're very different books with a very different target audience and I definitely wouldn't read Dresden to my hypothetical seven-year-old. (I'd read Potter, and they'd get the grittier stuff as teens. Assuming they didn't sneak the books before, in which case, well, nobody's ever been psychologically damaged by reading gritty books a wee bit too early.)

I am with you on the flowery description, and that's actually one of the things that turns me off of HP; I thought its description was unnecessarily heavy handed and clunky-bordering-on-purple.

109- I can see where you're coming from, but I think some people have a natural fascination with fear, which the Scarecrow plays with. Nolan portrayed that aspect...pretty well (I still prefer Timmverse Scarecrow, but Nolan did a good job).

135- He is...on Pre-Crisis Earth 2...On New Earth, It doesn't really fit in continuity (but then again, it's DCU..you can make ANYTHING work in DCU)
