I dunno, I think it's foolish to assume that we can just *poof* change something that's inherantly human nature. If we all just learned to get over it and treat each other equally in spite of minority and/or thoughtcrime, eventually it would fade away for lack of acknowledgement.

NS!2: Ohai, a fellow lurker popping up to said WORD. I like watching the drama over here, and occasionally something interesting gets said, but I'm not invested enough to go on with this whole crazy relationship-building thing that seems to be a huge part of LJ-culture.

Then again, I still remember how in Ye Olde Dayes of the internet, lurkers were given major guilt trips about being "leeches" and not producers of content. Broadband's changed things, but I actually still feel a little guilty about it.
