103. Anime has devolved into the most inane and pandering medium in the history of artistic expression. Osamu Tezuka pioneered the use of manga/anime as a legitimate art form and then later it's been subverted it into a lurid circus of fetishes and violence. The few actually good anime are exceptions rather than some rule.

tl;dr I really wouldn't judge anyone who dismisses the medium. And I am an anime fan.

101- pffffft GOOSEBUMPS SECRET. <3 Night of the Living Dummy's cover scared me when I was little. And One Day at Horrorland, though the story scared me even more. I've had nightmares of being trapped in a dark amusement park since I was 8 or so because of that book. XD

125 - Wolverine and the X-Men is badass. Though the graphics are somewhat awkward. Wolverine's too tall, and also his waist is half the size of his shoulders, haha. I used to love the 90's show as a kid, but now that I watch it again, I'm not very into it. Though that's probably because my two favorite characters (Nightcrawler and Quicksilver) are there for like... maybe ten episodes, combined. Ah well.

156 - It squicks me because it's actual living people. To me, it's like... why bother? There are plenty of ships within the show they come from. And very rarely do the ships actually make sense to me.
Idk. It's just really not my cup of tea. Probably because it's real people instead of characters.

Because it happens. Beautiful, wonderful, intelligent, passionate people lose sight of themselves, lose track of their goals and dreams. Not always over a mistake in boyfriends or girlfriends, sometimes it's jobs or obligations. It seems to be an allegory put into Japanese stories, maybe because the current societal structures and social mores enforce it so much more greatly. Who needs dreams and pain while looking like an outcast, when you can have stability? Why make so much trouble, when all it's going to make you do is stand out?

The important thing is, she came back to what she'd lost sight of. The idea of her having to die to make it really happen seems to be at odds with the philosophy pre-Akio Utena had. Death being the only way to make amends after a mistake - that's an old tradition. Honor killings, ritual suicides. What kind of a revolution is that?

I second this, actually. Not that I dislike Ekaterin, I like her just fine -- and certainly not that I think she's not right for Miles, because she definitely is. But the plain fact is that not all characters can be hits all the time, and different characters are misses for different people, for whatever reason. In much the same vein I had trouble enjoying Hallowed Hunt, because I didn't like either Ingrey or Ijada, even though I adored both Chalion and Paladin and loved Cazaril and Ista,

But either way, I admit myself at a loss as to how anyone could think that A Civil Campaign and the other Miles/Ekaterin books were anything other than the only natural way the series could have ended.
