131. I am wholly aligned with these sentiments. He's a figure out of classical tragedy, motivated by his ideals and principles to right a perceived wrong, getting himself over his head, unwittingly allying himself with people less scrupulous and more dangerous than he, and ending up wreaking havoc and destroying himself despite himself. His death depressed the hell out of me, worse than anything else this show has thrown at me so far. If you hate him, you're short-sighted.

AGREE. I love Baltar, which kind of blindsided me back when he was still an uber-douche, and then I connected with Gaeta despite his... unfortunate actions. So yes, BSG has a bad habit of that.

I think it's 10 years no matter how you dice it, but yes, Will wasn't really "dead," so to speak. He got killed but came back as the new captain of the Dutchman, served his term, and after the 10 years, was allowed to return to dry land where he reunited with Elizabeth and his son (also named Will Turner). How people don't know this after how long it's been with the movie baffles me.
