I do not agree with your opinions about this image (Donald Trump? Wut?) but I don't know who they're supposed to be either. XD Obama and crew perhaps? I don't think the art is that bad, really. Though I too am annoyed by people who have to constantly shove their art in your face for recognition.

Obama and crew perhaps?

Yes. I'm not going to say who drew it, for their sake, if they don't want their name out, but she's drawn a lot of chibis of political people in the past, and the comm she posts them too, everyone loves them. Including me.

Yay vegan! :D

So cute. I adore that film. I know what you mean - I can't kill spiders because of Charlotte's Web. And cause they're, you know, living creatures. ^^

(Oh, PeTA. Whyfore so much wtf?)

[identity profile] kimchiburger.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
126. He'd correct you? Oh goodness, Minamimoto would tell me I'm so zeta slow (among other things) as he verbally rips apart how I work through my calculus homework. :(

149. Usually I just make folders with the icon maker's name.

114: How can you be anti-environmentalist on a Wall-E forum?!

149: That...makes a lot of sense actually. I've never seen that done though. xD

Re: 114, 149

[identity profile] miribai.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
What gets me is that I was too tired of all the rampant pro-environmentalism "if you don't start recycling the world is gonna fucking die you bastard" the media had been shoving down my throat of late. (The day the earth stood still, Nearly EVERY Ghibli film, The Day after Tomorrow etc) I saw Wall-E not knowing what was supposed to be going on in the film but when the environmentalism bit came in I groaned.

114. Anti-environmentalism on a Wall-E board? Did these people, um, see the movie?
125. Geeze, is it hate-on-Wall-E-day? If you can't see what makes this movie brilliant, especially the script (which is up online for everyone to read, btw) and the way they transitioned it to the screen you're the one missing out.
142. In the immortal words of Jack Sparrow, you need to get yourself a girl, mate.
149. GRAAAAARRRGGH, THIS. I have so many icons on my computer that I can't use because I can't remember where they came from and don't want to look like a bitch.

I wish I could be strong enough to say what's with all the weird Ant McPartlin (probably fake) secrets without saying you're wrong re 150. But I'm not.

You're wrong. He didn't die, he was blinded. He and Dec actually showed up again (in the last episode? Can't remember exactly) and visited the Grove.

114. A Wall-E forum inhabited by right-wingers? I would think they'd be inhabited by tree-hugging leftists. Huh.

Seriously, how old are you? Either about 12 or you just have an odd choice of friends if you think they would judge you for crushing on someone other than Johnny Depp/[insert name of other sterotypically crushed-on-by-everyone-celeb].

And c'mon Seth Green is cool! Anyone who judges on you liking him/his characters plainly doesn't appreciate a GSOH.

[identity profile] jimmyrabbitte.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Here's the thing about Best Screenplay: it's awarded for exactly what it says in the title. Best Screenplay. Regardless of what you thought of the film as a whole, the screenplay itself reflects a clarity of vision and distinct motion that translated directly to the screen. When voting on this category, academy members read the actual screenplay document, and then compare it to what appeared in the film. Literate works that create a sense of place which makes it to the finished product will win, while fumbling camera directions that were ignored for the sake of a better film will lose. Trying to create a forty-five minute opening of a narrative with no dialogue, especially one which turned out so well, is about the hardest thing one can do when writing a screenplay. No other film attempted that in 2008, and it's an accomplishment that is more than deserving of a nomination.

105. Funny. Heat Guy J did that for me.

118. And yet another moment of "I need to get back into this fandom." Awe, I love my Storm Hawks. It's sad to know the fic has gone downhill so badly.

121. Oh, please. Fandom does not hate Orihime. Some idiots in fandom hate her. Please, don't lump the entire fandom into one group, simply because there are a few of them who dismiss and/or downplay her character.

125. OMG, I DIDN'T LIKE A MOVIE THAT WAS GENERALLY VERY WELL RECEIVED! CLEARLY, IT'S EVERYONE ELSE THAT'S WRONG. Yeeeeeeaaaah. Opinions are great, but they're not facts.

131. Gaeta! *goes into a corner and cries*
