I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE.

THANK GOD.

Those interviews, man. They got to me.

# 103 - Yes, I so agree with you. Not that I didn't find gay couples hot before, because I personally did, but man they were an intense, hot couple of dudes. I loved that they were such a masculine ship, as a lot of fic/etc in fandom(s) seem to really feminize male/male ships, to the point where it seems like the characters are rendered, well, female. I liked the brutality of this ship.

# 135 - There is something very intriguing about Lolita-esque scenarios, that I don't think has anything to do with one have pedophilic tendencies or proclivities. I love Lolita as a novel. The writing is exquisite. I just think that blooming sexuality is very intense, and we remember our early sexual experiences intensely, even if at the time we didn't even recognize the sexuality in our actions or experiences.

# 136 - I agree. I don't care for Bret Easton Ellis's writing style. It's very stark. I thought the novel Less Than Zero was terribly boring; the movie wasn't much better. I think, at the end of the day, Ellis's stories are very vacuous and banal.

# 144 - OMG YES YES!!!! LOL!!!! Love it ♥

# 150 - I ♥ iCarly and I am way older than you :D It's a really cute show and it's not as smarmy as the typical tween fare. IMO.

Then don't read smutty fanfic?

102: The world is sexist so...we should just put up and shut up? Er, no. Thanks.

105: Me too. :/

111: Yeah, I don't know what they're going on about either. The people that say they gave up because none of the questions ever got answered and then use the polar bear as an example make me want to bash my head against something as well.

134: Maybe they know some lesbians?

161

[identity profile] miribai.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
161. Its okay. Its highly observable to see the darker characters get pushed to the side in instances where there're not totally in your face like in House or Revolutionary Girl Utena. Just the way things are. :/

Uh...yeah. How can you ship real people? They aren't Alice/Reginald. I mean, I can see shipping the characters, but not the cosplayers. Do you even know them IRL? Or do you just ship them because of the con pics? Really really creepy, to be honest.

[identity profile] canthari.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
126.- Agree D:

The people could like these kind of relationship in fiction by... different reasons, but none want them in real life, and any of them are usually like that.

147.- I'm so sorry, but you still can appreciate the lovely fan works of these fandoms, and that AtLA picture is for sure one of my favorite's ever <3

LATE LATE LATE

117/118. What are these fandoms?

127. I support this secret.

156. This may be where the healing begins.

165. I understand not wanting to be seen as a fangirl who cries over Hyde, but if you can't cry over music, what can you cry over?

167. I would argue that depending on the fandom, characters and the tone of the piece, these words might have a place. "Might" being the operative word. I think people need to get over typing/writing the word "penis". It is what it is.

150 - Nothing to be embarrassed about. While I don't like iCarly (or any similar shows, for that matter), I do like many cartoons. I've spent the past week or so watching every episode of Rocko's Modern Life (and getting a lot more humor out of it now that I'm older) and am now moving onto Doug. I'm 21, by the way.

162 - It's funny that you see it that way, because I feel exactly the opposite way. Wilson, in my mind, is far more likely to suppress and hide any homosexual feelings than House is. House is more ambitious and usually doesn't care much how people view him. And whether or not the writers in the show intended it to be the case, I am seriously convinced that House has romantic feelings for Wilson. There's so much evidence of it in the show.

116: lol furry hate
120: Oh yes, I dread seeing my secrets come up. I regret it as soon as I send them. So much hate on the internets ;(
144: FUCK YES
153: OP is a good person and more people need to be like him/her.
162: I am this way with Cox/JD. Cox can sleep with Jordan, JD can have anyone else. Sex kind of ruins it between them. They are more than that.
164: I feel your pain, brother. I hate seeing guys impersonating girls just for the cybering or the favors it gets them. Undermines us actual transgendered people. >(

134, 164, 167

[identity profile] xenafox.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
134. YAY. DEGRASSI IS AT LEATS PART OF A SECRET XD

164. They drive me insane too. I'm not transgendered, but it really feels like a stupid fangirl slap to those that are facing any sort of gender issues.

167. I have to say I don't think there's anything wrong with the word dick. Boner is a bit more comedic so I can see leaving it out of a sex scene. Actually I don't mind the use of the woord prick either.
ext_19953: (some brothers are kinky as fuck.)

109 YAY ILU. omgI'mnottheonlyoneyaaaaaaaay XD

111. FUCK YEAH. you just said what I wanted to say for what feels like forever but better than I ever could. well done!

132. Logan is totally worth wanting to be. He's short, snarky, good heart, crazy, can totally kill everyone, and he's Canadian too!

139. OMG USAGI AND REI <3 and I know what you mean. I want an antagonistic BFF too.

162, yaaaay. UST =/always= fucking, and it's intimate enough to still be beautifully shippy. (course, I don't think it's implausible for them to have sex, and even aside from that I've always believed House would go for it before Wilson would, but it's still a good ship looking at it your way.)

163, aw. <333333333

167. to each their own, dude.

Dude, I completely get it and I've only had the pleasure of listening to the cast recording. I'm certain once I actually see it live, it will become an instant favorite of mine.

109

[identity profile] resounding-echo.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
I'm intrigued! Link me reasons why I should agree! :D

[identity profile] trustyoursins.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
102. I don't really get the implication that if you like all of Whedon's stuff, you "worship" him or are part of some "Church of Whedon." Yes, I'm sure there are batshit fans out there, and I didn't love every single episode of every one of his shows. But I liked Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Serenity, and have enjoyed what I've seen of Dollhouse. I've liked all of Neil Gaiman's stuff, too, but I don't worship the guy. I just like their styles. :/

107. That would be called "other people have different tastes than you do."

108. And to ruin your inner slasher a little, take a bit of a closer look at the lyrics and the fact that how it's talking about his sister, touching, and her "seeing the man inside the child." And then think about what other actions can be performed from that on-the-knees position. ;) I'm a slasher too, but god, my inner pervert always took that line that way...

116. Hooray! You're full of random, pointless, hypocritical vitriol!

118. ......... please explain why that is a bad sign, because I do not know that character or his canon and I am a little in love with his design just from that picture.

124. Agreed -- I'm just glad that, as a minor-character-minor-pairing lover, I haven't actually seen any of this in my fandoms. (Well, okay, maybe a little bitchery about the fact that two of them have fandom-wide OTPs that are done so much that it's kind of hard to find anything else. I get both sides of that, but really, people are gonna write what THEY love and want to write, and they shouldn't be shamed out of doing so.) I'd want to smack a bitch if I saw any of the stuff that you were talking about. :|

126. ... Ignoring your huge rant, which I am only going to respond to with: "it's fiction, and people like things in fiction which they do not in real life" -- hence why I love psychotic, murderous characters --

That picture does not look like molestation. That looks like a hug. That looks like a girl hugging a tsundere. :| Am I missing something?

127. Ahaha, you're from one of the fandoms I was thinking of when responding to 124. |D Yeah, it's... really hard to find much of anything in TWEWY fandom that isn't Joshua/Neku. If that's what other people wanna right, there's really no reasonable way to begrudge them, but I can definitely understand feeling put out by it. I love those two, and they just work so well. (And Eri's about as major a character as Rhyme, I'd say -- they get about the same amount of screen time, when you think about it.)

129. For some reason this made me lol. Best reason to want a character dead ever is best!

133. Your points on the subject are valid, but Jesus Christ, grow up. If she's having fun writing? Sorry if this is too much for you to handle, but let her have fun writing. And you know what? If you want her writing to improve? GIVE HER SOME CRIT, instead of telling her "omg I loved it! :D" and then pulling bullshit like this behind her back. Yeah, she's supposed to improve by magically reading people's minds. Maybe you can pull your head out and stop being so bitchy about a fictional story based on someone else's fictional characters.

135. It's not really lolita or pedophilia if you were both the same age, both little kids, though. ... I know that's not your point at all, but it just had to be said. Doesn't make it right, but that's more experimentation than anything.

[identity profile] trustyoursins.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
145. I don't really know how you can label any complete stranger a complete douchebag, even if you notice (potentially, or actually) douchy traits to their personality. :/

149. Well, if you go with the argument that Shakespeare is terribly overrated as well, he could be. :P

152. She had issues. Just like any of them. Motoko was completely uptight and kept attacking Keitarou, Kitsune kept trying to moneywhore, Su was amazing but batshit, and Shinobu had a merciless crush and no self esteem. Naru was uptight about anything she saw as "perversion" and punched Keitarou's lights out. Just like Motoko. Hell, just like Su, though Su never seemed angry about... anything. :| And Kitsune yelled and egged it on. It was ridiculous slapstick, aaand that was what was supposed to be funny about it -- it was funny, for people who like slapstick. You don't, and that's fine, but it's still funny for other people. And you do realize Naru was the one of them that actually went out of her way to encourage him and give him a hand when he was down and trying to do things with his life and chase his dreams, right?

... lmao at me making a big speech defending/explaining a Love Hina character. Oh, this series. :|

167. You don't find it sexy. Some people do. I don't find "penis" in a fic sexy, or "organ," or "rod." I don't find "dick" sexy either, but I like the word "cock." Some of my friends hate the word "cock" in fics. I don't find any of the words in your list sexy (besides "pussy" when it's used right), but the fact that they use them in porn means they think they're sexy, and some other people do too.

To sum up, I sympathize, but what you like in fics isn't what everybody likes, and some people do like that stuff. Look at any actual porn website (Literotica, for one) and you'll see at least two of those examples alllll over the place.

too big #2: Way to throw a fit about the existance of an artist who doesn't live up to your standards. Also, that comic made me lol quite a bit.

@all the doing it wrongs: ... what is going on here 8|

133 and 143

133. WORD. So much fucking word.

143. LOL. I love you, OP!

[identity profile] luna-glass-wall.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
108. Is it cool to dislike U2 or something? Because every time I mention them all I get is "I fucking hate them" or the nicer "I'm not into U2". *Possessively clutches Boy, October, Best of 1980-1990, Joshua Tree, War, How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, and Zooropa* He's not the best vocalist in the world but you got to admit his lyrics are fucking genius, with and without slash goggles.

[identity profile] threeonetwo.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
No, people just have their own opinions about music. I like them, they're pretty good, but I'm not obsessed like some of my friends are. And I have one friend who doesn't like them. It's a matter of taste.

137, 158

[identity profile] rah-rah-ramen.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
137. write it! I'd read it :)
158. OMG, I started watching that anime, forgot about it, and never finished. How was the ending?

135

[identity profile] lurkerbunny.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I have the "myself-as-loli" fantasies too. I've always had a thing for older men, at first innocently, and later on, well, not-so-innocently. I guess I was just naturally a bit precocious when it came to the subject of love (and I do mean love, not sex). I sure as hell was never molested. Most of my fantasies aren't even sexual. They seem to be more about how I wish I had someone who really cared about me (besides my irritating family) when I was a kid. So they're more about loneliness, not lust.

116

[identity profile] big-ringer.livejournal.com 2009-03-19 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
You know, this secret made me think of this:

Also, there's a good number of "Joss Whedon isn't all that" secrets.

That and rimming. DOES NOT WORK.
